Ok, I've been working in the Audio Video field for 6 years now. I've learned quite a few things. Here's a list:
1) most people have no idea what is actualy availible in this market. So, they end up with expensive equiptment that only preforms 20% of it's capabilities.
2) Doing it yourself is harder than you think. Even though more equiptment is "plug n play", it's kind of like the free version of software you download...
3) There IS a difference between a DVD player that cost $60 and $300 dollars. And you DO get what you pay for.
4) Even if you get the best equiptment in the world, if it's not easy to use, it's pretty much a waste.
5) Technology is constantly changing, even people with technology degrees don't always know what's going on in the A/V world. That's what we're here for, I attend and give product trainings. I visit the manufacturers, and go to trade shows.
Use the next few pages to help design your syetem. And, most importantly, have fun. This is all about making your freetime more enjotable.
