*Weeks In & Highest Position may not be accurate. Figures are only from the last 7 weeks when the chart re-started.
There are 10 new entries again this week and leading the charge at 66 is Karaja with a piece of Euro-pop called "She Moves". I was looking for information on this singer and I did come across her web-site but it's in German and I kept getting an error message when I tried to translate so for now, the origins of Karaja remains a mystery.....Next up at 69 is Boomkat with a song I hated in it's original form. The ever reliable Thunderpuss re-worked it and now I love it. Check out their mix of "The Wreckoning".....Dannii again at 74 with the track I said last week would debut, it's "Nervous". When I was making up the chart this week I thought this was a nice enough song but between then and now I've gone crazy over it so look for it to make big jumps next week.....Further down at 86 is Justin Timberlake with his first song to make my chart, "Rock Your Body". I did get into "Like I Love You" but not enough to make the chart and it took various different mixes of "Cry Me A River" for me to chart it a little lower down.....89 sees Aaliyah debut with "Don't Know What To Tell Ya". I didn't seem to like "Miss You" enough to chart it but this one reminds of songs like "We Need A Resolution" which did quite well about a year and a half ago. That was at the time of her death so maybe I was influenced by that. The coming weeks will decide how much I really like this one.....Thanks to Craig for the track at 90. Femael duo Masai with their track "Do That Thang". I'm still trying to get my hands on that Starchaser mix that you've mentioned Craig so I'm charting this based on the original version. You can check out the girls' website here Masai4U.com .....Shania isn't having much luck with me with her new "Up" cd. Her latest is "Ka-Ching!" at 91. Don't forget that exclamation Shania!.....Someone else who I've lost a bit of interest in is Melanie C. "On The Horizon" is her next single and it debuts at 92. I LOVED her "Northern Star" cd but I'm yet to fall for her latest. Melanie is making moves elsewhere on the chart with Spice Girls.....Justin again at 98 with "Cry Me A River". I don't expect it to last very long. It's taken me ages to get into this and I'm favouring "Rock Your Body".....Finally at 100 is Zoe Birkett with another Thunderpuss treated track, "Treat Me Like A Lady".
Power Picks...Reina takes the first Power Pick this week. Actually Reina was a Power Pick a couple of weeks ago as well. "No One's Gonna Change You" is at 21 up from 32. She'll definitely go Top 10 in the next couple of weeks and from there we'll just have to wait and see.....Celine (or Sea-Lion as my friends like to call her) takes the second Power Pick again this week with "I Drove All Night". I'm loving this more and more now that I have the original version. I even went out and bought her new cd "One Heart" and I must say it's really good.
Celine could have quite a few chart hits from this cd.
Well that's my chart for this week.
Any comments?
Until next time, take care.
Brett
