Introduction

My JAMES family research begins with the marriage of Owin HALL and Juda JAMES in Wilkes County, North Carolina, marriage bond date January 3, 1818. Family sources claim Juda is the daughter of Jesse JAMES and that she had a brother named Jesse JAMES Jr. The purpose of my research is to discover Juda's parents and other family members. The focus area of my research is Wilkes and Ashe Counties, North Carolina. I have also included any North Carolina record references for Jesse JAMES.
