About Stacy.....
I'm a stay at home, full time, Domestic Engineer... (Okay, I'm a housewife!) I have a toddler named Katie, four cats and two shelties (oh yeah, and my hubby). Talk about a busy household!
The shelties that come through my door are exposed to everything my home has to offer, including my sweet, seven year old sheltie, Buddy, and the cute and playful Cody. The foster shelties learn to play, respect other animals and how to deal with young children if they haven't already been exposed to them. I monitor all of the dogs carefully, and by doing so, Lynne and I are better able to place them. All dogs in my house are treated with love and respect! They are walked daily if weather permits, but they also have the run of the fenced in back yard where they can run and play and burn off some energy. Basic obedience is taught to them if they are not already trained.
My husband graciously and lovingly allows me to do rescue work, although as you can imagine, he's not too thrilled when we have several sheltie's in the house at once.   He supports me in my efforts and helps out when he can.
I've only ever wanted to keep 2 dogs, and I find that by fostering, I'm making a difference in both the dogs lives, and the new families' lives where the dogs go to live. When we place the sheltie, it is going to it's new, forever home. I can love them all, by sending them to new parents, knowing that I made a difference.
