"FRUITS AND VEGETABLES AGAINST ROBOTS"

The chef comes happily into the kitchen, to prepare the menu with a high provision of elements. He is provided with a traditional knife but also with many modern kitchen machines. Everything seems to be under control. But several threatening signs announce the becoming conflict. The clock needless start a maddening movement, an electric pot explodes mysteriously, the cooker can't handle a beater. The fright increases when fruits and vegetables start their complain when they are transformed into slices, juices and grates. On one side, a technological that crushes, minces and cans; on the other, little living beings than memorates David against Goliath. Amidst, the cooker. Héctor López Girondo and Carlos Canosa had introduced with the awarded "Stories with Wastes", 3 years ago, some uncommon thematics in our children theatre. Now, Carlos Canosa as player, López Girondo as director and both as authors, present a new challenge, in a way more complex than the first play. In this play, objects are also transformed into characters by means of the dramatic action, performed at first only by the cooker-puppeteer. He gives eyes to the hopeless apple so can weep; he gives it a month so he can understand what the apple tries to tell. The scenography by Miguel Nigro and the music -almost cinematographical- by Gabriel Adamo, match perfectly the play, which will appeal mostly to the youngest, but also to the parents, who will enjoy the performance and can appreciate the conceptual scheme among the roots of "Hombres y engranajes" (Men and machines) by Ernesto Sábato.
