THE COMPANY "TEATRO DE LA PLAZA" began their activities in 1983, working on a repertoire based on folk tales, that were performed in theaters, clubs, squares, streets, subways, hospitals and any other proper space appeared all though the country. In 1985, and after a contest from National San Martin Theater Puppet Company, the group interrupted its own activity in order to share the project leadered by Ariel Bufano, starting a period of investigation and development, participating in many international Festivals and tourneés.

 

"A Revoluçao na Cozinha" (Revolution in the kitchen) is the last show of TEATRO DE LA PLAZA. Opened in May of 2002 in the Crowne Plaza theater of São Paulo city.

 

In 1990, TEATRO DE LA PLAZA presented Historias con Desperdicios (Stories with Wastes) at Coca Cola contest for Arts and Sciences, and was awarded the Children Theater 1st. Prize.

 

Since that event, TEATRO DE LA PLAZA reinitiates its own activity and in May '92 presented a new play Memorias del Sur (Memories at South), participating in several Theater and Puppet Festivals.

In May ´95 Un redondo muy cuadrado (A very square round character).

And in January ´99  "Um Século em um Instante" (A Century on a Second), an educational show about the social history of Brazil.
