I am Angela Palmer a Poetry Lover and a Poet. I came to love Poetry when I was very young in school writing for English class. I thought the love affair was over that is until I fell sick and was bed-ridden for a month. I had nothing but my thoughts which began to crowd my mind and I started to write more and more. This writing habit formed into poetry and thus began my reacquaintance with poetry/poems and my lust for words. My theme is about Dreams or mostly Inspirational types of Poetry to encourage is my plight. So please, relax a moment and read, I have already lit the candles. I hope you enjoy this site. A Dream

In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed-
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.
Ah! what is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes are cast
On things around him with a ray
Turned back upon the past?
That holy dream- that holy dream,
While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam
A lonely spirit guiding.
What though that light,
thro' storm and night,
So trembled from afar-
What could there be more purely bright,
In Truth's day-star?
