| This is the Wooden Sword, the first item you should find in the game. It is found on the cave in the same screen that you start from. |
| This is the White Sword, the second sword in the game. You need 5 heart containers to get it. It can be found in one of the top screens. |
| This is the Magical Sword, the most powerful sword in the game. It can be found in the graveyard by pulling out a tombstone. |
| This is a Bomb, a special item that you can use to blow open holes in walls and damage enemys. They can be bought in any shop. |
| This is a Rupy, an important item needed to buy in the game from shops and other places. Rupies can be found practically anywhere. |
| This is a special rupy that counts as 5 rupies. Note: This kind of rupy is solid blue and doesn't flash. |
| This is a Fairy, a small creature that can be found at fairy fountains and are dropped by enemys. The fairy refills several hearts. |
| This is a letter. It can be obtained by an old man that lives in the upper right screen. The old ladies will pay attention to you with this. |
| This is a map. An item that can be found in all dungeons and reveals the parts of the dungeon. |
| This is a Small Heart that can be found after you dfeat an enemy. It fills one heart container when picked up. |
| This is Enemy Bait. It can be used to DRAW enemys to you and has to be used in the 7th dungeon to get through to pass. |
| This is a Clock, an item that can't be bought, but appears randomly. It freezes all enemies on the screen so you can kill with ease. |
| This is a Key, a small and simple item that can be bought in shops and be found in dungeons. They open doors. |
| This is the Magical Shield, it can repeal fireballs. Beware because Like Like's eat them. |
| This is a Magical Key, just like a skeleton key, can unlock every door in the game. |
| This is the Power Bracelt. It can be found under an armos knight east of the graveyard. |
| This is a Blue Candle. It is the first candle you get in the game. It can only cast one flame. |
| This is the Red Candle. It's bascially the more powerful version of the blue candle and can set multiple flames. |
| This is an Arrow, the projectile launced by a bow. The arrows can be purchased at shops everywhere. |
| This is a Silver Arrow, the upgraded version of the normal arrows. It is necessary for defeating Ganon, the last boss. |
| This is the Blue Potion, a special that can be used to completely refill your life and can be purchased from an old lady. |
| This is the Red Potion. It's just like the potion potion except it can be used twice instead of once. |
| This is the Whistle. It can be used to destroy enemies and summon whirlwinds which that can warp you to a different location. |
| This is the Magical Rod. It serves no real purpose except to just shoot a magical beam across the screen. |
| This is the Blue Ring, one of the most handy items in the game. It reduces your damage to half. |
| This is the Red Ring. It reduces your damage to 1/4 and can be found in the last dungeon. |
| This is the Bow, an item you can use to launch arrows at enemies. It can be found in the 1st dungeon. |

| This is the Wooden Boomerang, an item you an use to stun enemies. It is a very helpful weapon when dealing with stronger enemies. |
| This is the Magical Boomerang, an item that reaches twice as far as the normal boomerang. It can be found in the 2nd dungeon. |
| This is the Heart Container. 5 of these ae scattered across Hyrule and 8 can be found after beating the dungeon bosses. |
| This is the Triforce Piece. It can be found at the end of any of the 8 dungeons. The pieces together make the Triforce Of Wisdom. |
