David and Gwen had their first date on September 29, 2001. They had lunch and went to the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. After a whirl wind courtship they got engaged on March 23, 2002.  David took her to the EAA Museum and purposed to her there in the late afternoon.  They then went to the Pioneer Resort & Marina and had a romantic dinner. 

After much deliberation their first concession was Dave wanted a small wedding later on and Gwen wanted a big wedding soon. So they had a small soon wedding.  They decided that they just had to get married in the EAA Fergus Chapel and have their reception at the Pioneer Resort and Marina.
