| I live in Lexington, Kentucky with my wife, Rebecca. We moved to Lexington from Grand Rapids, MI in August of 2004. Prior to that, we lived and worked in Grand Rapids, MI, where the majority of our family remains. I worked at Anderson Communities, a real estate rental and development company. I am an accoutant for Resident Services, which handles the maintenance of all of our rental properties (3 apartment complexes, 136 homes, and a thoroughbred training center!). I began working there in February of 2005 and have loved every minute of it. Rebecca is attending graduate school at the University of Kentucky. She is working on her PhD in Nursing, with the hope of eventually teaching Nursing at the collegiate level. She received a Teaching Assistantship at UK, and teaches clinical for the undergrad students. See her blog here. Rebecca and I live in a cute little three bedroom house with our bird, Sunny. Sunny is Rebecca's parrotlet. She is about 4 inches tall, and weighs 29 grams, or about 1 ounce. She is light enough that she can walk on the computer keyboard without pushing down the keys. However, she acts as if she is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, not afraid to attack anyone coming near her cage. At 29 grams, if we paid the same amount, gram for gram for Bingley, he would have cost $158,000. Bingley was our dog from August 04 to April of 06. He was a really fun dog, but unfortunately, suffered from bad genes and bad raising. Bingley got into two fights with stray dogs while on walks. He was very dominant, and eventually we decided it best to find him a new home. On a happy note, we have a newfoundland puppy coming in September. Keep an eye on my blog for more information! |
