Chesapeake's Bang and Blame

''BeBe''

BeBe was my beautiful cobby red-fawn brushcoat – my first show dog.  She was such a gentle soul.  She accepted all

four-legged guests and newcomers that we brought into this

house, without hesitation.

She was not as fond of the show ring, though she tried very

hard to whatever I asked of her.  Shortly after her second

birthday, she retired from the show ring with 11 points (all

majors).  She was content to wait at home for Mom’s return

with a piece or two of liver (yum) from the dog show, and to

play for hours with her favorite tennis ball.

BeBe was the best mom a pup could want.  She loved and cared for all the puppies in this house, as if they were her own.  She had two litters –  a total of four puppies.  Two of those went on to compete successfully in the show ring.  She is now passing on her legacy to her grandchildren.

Beebs was a big Mama’s girl.  I know how much she loved me.  I think she knew that she owned me heart and soul and still does.  BeBe will always be my heart dog.  She was gone before we knew it.  I miss her more than words can express.
