ROC
it’s a nice feeling when you have lots of time
out in the field. waiting for combat rations, waiting for the presentation of
operation orders. sitting in the shade amongst the mountains, with the wind
blowing strongly, the trees swaying with the wind. very meditative feeling.
thinking of someone. wondering how she’s
enjoying herself now, going out with him all the time after their exams, going
to fun places that I would’ve liked to take her to.
thinking of the fun and freedom everyone else
is enjoying now back in Singapore.
… and that slight twinge of homesickness.
missing the familiar sights, smells, and warmth of home.
going on night attack mission after this. have
to shake off these thoughts before the mission in order to command my section
effectively. hope all goes well, and the mission is successful.
