you to explore nus and try out the canteens. see ya then.”

“hey hi. oh, I’m waiting to meet a friend for lunch.”
“this shirt? oh… watching a concert tonight.”

“hello! how’s your throat? hmm… we better
take something soupy then.”
“did you know
that an army unit has shifted into nus? it’s some MMI
thing, DMRI also. some medical research institutes.”
“anyway, one of
my friends works there as a medic, and I was meeting him for lunch this
afternoon.”
“so I went over
to science to pick him up. and you know I’ve been
avoiding science like the plague, only going there if there’s an absolute need
to.”
“so I chose this
seat where she probably won’t pass by, judging by the usual places we used to hang
out in the past semesters.”
“I barely had to wait 5 minutes for my
friend, and she passed by with her friends.”
“of course lah. I tried to hide behind my book, and they were even
going on in their intended directions.”
“yah lor. then don’t know for what
reason, they turned towards me instead, and she came over to say hi.”
“of course I had
to talk lor. and even smile.”
“yup, and she
asked me why I was dressed so well, so I had to tell her about the concert
later.”
“guess so. barely fifteen minutes later, he called me asking if there
were seats available still at the esplanade. guess
they should be coming then…”
“heh…
you really want to know? I introduced it to her quite a long while ago.”
“what’s wrong
with you meeting them? I don’t want to though…”
