7 days out in the field makes one think a lot.
good thing I’m nearing the end of the exercise already. two more company
exercises and we go through to the r and r phase.
yet I still miss home. the niceties of Singapore.
clean, air-conditioned comfort. thinking of marina, boat quay, and all the
other hangouts.
thinking of her again. still remember last
night, making cyalume straws for night mission, we had extra liquid left over.
pouring away the excess liquid, I formed “SQ” followed by a little heart. it
looked pretty glowing blue in the sand, in the dark. left it there glowing in a
temple courtyard in Taiwan. romantic huh. too bad it’ll only last 12 hrs.
thinking of her so often, wonder how often she
thinks of me instead. probably never? she’ll probably be thinking of him all
the time. nevermind, let her be happy.
waiting for dinner now, have to stay on guard
all the time because I’m guarding the apex with 84. think I’d better get ready already.
