Michele is now 22 and a senior at Eastern Illinois University. She is living off-campus now and lovin' it! She is glad she has only a few months left before she gets her degree and says she's ready to face the "real world". She has two roommates that are a blast to live with. One is Maria and she's from Spring Valley, IL and the other is Zophia and is originally from Poland. Zophia is working on the same degree as Michele so they can help each other out when understanding something isn't working well. Michele is still playing golf on the Eastern Golf Team but this first semester she didn't attend any of the tournaments with the team. She is trying to revamp her game and having some problems with it. Most of her life has revolved around golf. She has had great success with her golf game starting at the tender age of 3 when she won her first trophy (3rd place) at the Detweiller Little Guys and Gals tournament in Peoria, IL. Over the past 17 years she has won over 150 first place trophies, 6 second and 2 thirds. She has won 2 Nationals and qualified in two separate National Qualifiers. She won the state level National Qualifer for the Insurance Junior National, which sent her to Houston, TX for a week. She played against other junior golfers from all over the United States. She then finished second in the Optimist National Qualifer and went to play the PGA National Golf Course in West Palm Beach, FL and stayed at that excellent resort. In Florida she again played against the best junior golfers in the United States but also from 22 foreign countries. She has met some very interesting people and seen some great places over the years. She was Number One on the Varsity team in high school and went to the Illinois State Girls Golf Tournament three years in a row, missing her Freshman year by one stroke. She was also a cheerleader when in junior high school and played volleyball for one year. She has declared her major as psychology with a minor in sociology.
