From the time Angel was 5 years old angel was trained in the arts of combat, war, chivalry and honor. At first trained as her Father, Rictor's, pageboy and then squire. After his death she was tutored by the Knights of Munster learning all things of battle and warfare that she could, her personal favorite being unmounted hand to hand. She served for several years Conor MacNessa who she learned battlefield tactics from. After this she learned out in the world on her own until meeting a Shaolin monk named Yon Thai Yueng. He taught her the more deadly martial arts and the inner stillness that would eventually see her trained as an Asgardian Paladin. She considers herself still in training to this very day, only now she trained to rule a nation.
Angel has covered a rather wide variety of positions in her wanderings throughout the Realms. A Royal squire as a trainee, the Commander of a Mercenary Army, The Carthal Queen Bangh'arda's Personal Bodyguard. She Captined the HMS Normandy in Caernarfon and then the Sea Pearl of Asgard, eventually becomming the Nations lead 4 star Admiral. A high government official as Admiral and warrior as Asgards Paladin. Once a Queen by marriage, and now an Empress by birth.
Cares only about her Politics, as wierd and complicated as that may be. Her religious beliefs vary...she once served the Asgardian Goddess of Magic Majestyka and Eva. She broke faith with these when she left Asgard, wishing to cut herself off entirely...this left her without faith for a long time though eventually one Goddess came to her. Now she serves Nemesis, the goddess of War, Justice, and Rightous Retribution.
Angel has learned through long esperience that there are times when killing is unavoidable, though mercy should be shown when it is. Death comes all too easily in the world she lives in, though at one time she killed merely for the bloodlust of it. Killing in war is acceptable. Sexually she is very modest and stodgy. She tends to keep herself as austiere as her living quarters, few grace her bed. She sticks to this more out of convenience rather than necessity. It is simpler to not be so deeply involved.
Angels eventual goals are to free her homeland from the EEEEVil icky clutches that chokes it. It is a chore turned to ambition and it incorporates into her every waking moment, including some of her nonwaking. She has little time for anything else.
Why does she do what she does? Because that is what she was meant to do, what she was reared and trained for. She can do nothing else.
Angels personality is complicated like all things about the woman. She is what Dragon Sun calls, emotionally constipated. Stuffy and hard, cold and fierce most of the time though there are moments when something can be glimpsed beneath the shields she wears before all. She tends to be very intense about the things she cares about, be it a person, place or thing. Passionate in a quiet sort of way, always endevoring to rein in her fire and turn it to useful purposes. Though at times a deeply caring woman, at times a little too trusting.
Angel seems to have a natural knack for leading people. Diplomacy through honest words rather than guile, an artlessness that tends to endear her to people. The things she chooses to do are done with a perfectionists eye and hand and with the same obsessive quality. Physically tough beyond armor and spells she has an incredibly high tolerance for pain. Other skills include all types of combat and fighters training, government, battlefield, magics, and intrigue.
Angel makes it difficult for any person to really KNOW her. She cannot release that much of herself. The reasons why are many and perhaps they do not matter. She cannot stop what she does now, the war, conquering. She MUST work.
Angel has a deep hatred for some of the darker demonic creatures, so much that she cannot abide their presence without hunting them down. She hates the force behind the corruption of her home and must destroy it at all costs. She also hates vapid silly useless "Ladies", simpering and pretty but nothing more.
She loves the quiet of the battlefield after the clanging and screaming is over. The quiet talk after lovemaking. Flying. The people she loves are numerous, some of them powerfully, some sweetly and with humor. The sound of laughter and people within her hall. and Lichenbrau!
