| MY FIRST OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE ExcalibureFaire, 2000 On my head I'm wearing: a skull cap in the same fabric as my coat trimmed in a coin headpiece from India; waist-length braid extensions; my tribal makeup for the season; hammered earring and necklace set from Morrocco I found at Goui-Goui African Imports in Austin, TX for $35! my fake pearls and participants disk. On my torso I'm wearing: my gomlek; a red china-silk anteri that buttons up the back; a light green hip-length anteri with gold string lace front; and my outer Yelek (turkish coat). On bottom I'm wearing Early Ottoman open-bottom salvar (oops, no stockings!); my sparse tassle belt; my finger crocheted tassle net skirt (the green and white thing; all the white and green tassles are attached to it); my green striped tie-belt; and a strip of jingly coins sewn to a soft-leather belt. On my feet are the cheap shoes from Bald Mountain Dreamshoes ($50, 7 years old, and still comfy and intact!) |
