Chapter 74: Post-Race of the Hershey Kisses 300
In the booth they were talking about TBO and then Mike Joy said, �And lets head down to Ashley is standing in victory lane.�
�Ok I am here in victory lane with Dale Jr,� Ashley started.
Jr got out and did the famous mosh pit. Then after he got his hugs from his crew he talked to Ashley.
�How�d you win that one after that late restart?� Ashley asked.
�Well it was teamwork,� Jr answered. �Me and Mikey.
�Did you have the feeling anytime during the race you weren�t going to win it?� Ashley wondered.
�Not really,� Jr told her. �Since Martin was in the back I got some help from Mikey.�
�Did you see what happened in the big one or was that out of the question?� Ashley questioned.
�I heard about the big one on the radio,� Jr told her.
�Well great job on a great win,� Ashley congratulated him. �Now lets head down to Marty who ahs more on TBO.�
�I am here with Michael Waltrip,� Marty started. �What happened after you crossed the finish line?�
�Disaster,� Mikey commented. �Everyone started like pushing and shoving and I couldn�t do nothing but get caught up in it since it was like all happening around me.�
�Are you happy that you got a good finish?� Marty asked.
�Yes I am happy with that fact,� Mikey answered.
�Ok,� Marty said. �Mikey finished 2nd in the race. Lets go to Matt who�s with the 3rd place driver.�
�And in third place is Kevin Harvick,� Matt started. �What happened after you crossed the finish line?�
�Well I don�t really know,� Kevin answered. �I guess that I was on the back bumper of the 99 and I turned him around and I got into him not on purpose through.�
�But what do you think of the plate package in a whole?� Matt wondered.
�I guess its all right,� Kevin shared.
�Do you think that NASCAR could make any changes to make it better?� Matt asked.
�Yes I think that NASCAR should make the changes to make racing better for us and the fans,� Kevin answered.
�Alright,� Matt said. �Lets go to Ashley who�s with your froth place finisher Shane Hmiel.�
�Shane what happened when you crossed the finish like and saw the big wreck?� Ashley wondered.
�I tried to find a way to avoid it but just couldn�t,� Shane started. �To me it just looked like someone slowed down after crossing the finish line while the guy behind him didn�t.�
�Do you think that NASCAR needs to make improvements or not?� Ashley questioned.
�I really don�t think they do since the big one was just a issue that happened that could happen on any kind of track,� Shane stated. �The race in a whole was great so I think they got it where it needs to be.�
�Lets go back to Mike,� Ashley said.
�And lets take a look at the finish order,� Mike said. �Dale Jr won and then it was Mikey, Kevin, Shane, David, Robby, Kasey, Greg and Martin.�
�That was quite a race and looks to me that Dale Jr may sweep the whole Speedweeks if he wins tomorrow,� Darryl summed it up.
�Yep,� Mike agreed. �So lets send it down to Chris and Jeff.�
�Now we left the hotel just to come down here in victory lane and looks like Jeff is trying to soak Jr.�s crew but I don�t think its working is it Jeff?� Chris asked.
�Well you never know about Dale Jr.�s team,� Jeff assured Chris. �They did a good job today with all of their pit stops.�
�And are you winning the battle of soaking them or are you losing?� Chris wondered.
�You won the battle of soaking them,� Jeff told Chris.
�Well I barely got them and now I think you better run because they each got a bottle of Gatorade and they are coming to get you,� Chris warned Jeff. Then Chris and Jeff got soaked by Jr.�s team. �Told ya you better run.�
�This is cool to be in victory lane and get soaked from a team,� Jeff told Chris. �Who cares!�
�Tomorrow�s race is on at 1pm EST,� Chris reminded the fans. �Pre-race at noon EST. Do not miss it! Its gonna be a awesome race.�
