Chapter 49: Busch Qulifying

The next morning Ashley got up early and found that Jr was already up.

�Good Morning Jr,� Ashley greeted him.

�Morning,� replied Jr. �How is your ankle this morning?�

�Still sore but not as bad,� Ashley answered.

�Ok,� Jr said. �Well very soon I need to head to the Busch Series garage so do you want to hang out with Amanda?�

Amanda sneaks up behind Jr and said, �Well I decided to come hang out here with BONO and Ashley since Mikey�s crew chief is gonna stand here yet on top of the trailer during qualifying.�

�Ok Amanda,� Jr said.

�Well the girls are debating over who will get the pole plus the crew chief and strageity,� Ashley points out.

�Right�well I will see you later,� Jr said. �Bye Ashley.�

�Bye Jr,� Ashley said.

Then he walked to the Busch Garage.

Ashley and Amanda head up on to the top of the trailer.

�So what did you and Jr do last night alone?� Amanda whispered to Ashley.

�We just had a nice candle light dinner,� Ashley told her.

�Cool,� Amanda said. �Did you and Jr talk about anything serious?�

�No,� Ashley answered.

�Ok,� Amanda said. �I been wanting to ask Mikey some stuff but never got the time. Were so busy.�

�I know,� Ashley agreed.

�Hmm�maybe tonight I should ask him the mystery question,� Amanda suggests.

�Ok,� Ashley said.

�What�s up here?� BONO asked as he came in. �Dating and marrying shat right?�

�Yes,� Amanda and Ashley answer.

�Need advice?� BONO wondered.

�What is the problem ladies?� BONO questioned.

�They seem to be busy all the time,� Ashley tells BONO.

�Hmmm�.that�s always a problem in motor sports with guys,� BONO explains to the girls. �Did either of you have anytime alone with your boyfriend?�

�I did last night,� Ashley answered.

�And let me guess�.to chicken to ask Jr anything?� BONO guessed.

�Yea well I asked him what is one secret he�d only tell me and he said that�s a tough one Ash,� Ashley explained.

�Oh,� BONO said.

�Yea,� Ashley said. �He really didn�t answer my question which I�m thinking its either no secret or the secret is pretty personal to him, wouldn�t you think BONO?�

�Yea,� BONO replied. �He might keep it to himself for now and let you know soon.�

�Yea,� Ashley said. �What about you Amanda?�

�I would like to say something to Mikey but I can�t say it to him,� Amanda explains.

�Something really personal to you?� BONO guesses.

�Not really,� Amanda tells him.

�Haven�t had the time alone with him?� BONO guesses again.

�Right,� Amanda tells him.

�Listen I have a idea,� BONO starts. �Late on I�ll give Mikey a note not to come to the trailer till 5pm tonight. Then we�ll prepare a meal and at 5 he�ll come and you guys can eat and talk about anything you want including the question ok?�

�Ok,� Amanda agrees to BONO�s idea.

�And for Mr. and Ms. Lil Chicken I�ll set it up tomorrow night and you will reveal the secrets and ask him again but think of some good reasons why he should tell you ok?� BONO suggests.

�Ok,� Ashley accepts.

�Well were both glad to have someone like you,� Amanda comments.

�Thank you,� BONO thanks Amanda.

�That was nice of you to say Amanda,� Ashley comments.

�Thanks Ashley,� Amanda thanks her.

�Well ladies qualifying is about to start,� BONO reminds them.

�Ok,� Amanda and Ashley say.

�Who the heck is first on the track?� BONO questions.

�I don�t really know BONO,� Ashley answers.

�Well I�m looking and looks like a new car is out for this race,� Amanda tells BONO. �Probally a new team.�

�Yes,� BONO says. �It�s a new team and they are not going to race.�

�Ok,� Ashley says.

Then Jr came back to where Ashley, Amanda and BONO were sitting and yelled, �Ashley! Wish me good luck!�

�Good luck and here�s a special kiss,� Ashley screamed and then blew a kiss to Jr.

Then Jr ran in to the trailer and got his fire suit on.

�When are you out on the track?� Ashley asks as Jr is getting his fire suit on.

�I�m going out later,� Jr answers. �I�m the last one to go out.�

�The caboose in the order of who gets to go out,� Ashley jokes. �What else can you expect?�

�Right,� Jr agrees.

�Well Mikey goes out near the end also right?� Ashley double checks.

�Yea,� Jr answers.

�Well here�s something,� Ashley starts. �The best comes out last and then there will be no more birds so Mikey doesn�t have to worry about them.�

�Yep,� Jr agrees.

�Well lets forget about the birds,� Amanda said. �Hey where�s Mikey�s crew chief Bobby Kennedy?�

�I think he might be in the garage but I am not sure,� Jr told Amanda. �I haven�t seen him today Amanda.�

�That�s weird,� Ashley commented.

�What is weird?� Amanda asked.

�Forget weirdness Amanda,� BONO told her. �I see something interesting over there and it may mean trouble.

Then Amanda, Jr and Ashley turned their head to see what was going on.

�Hmm�who are those people to start with?� Jr asked.

�I was thinking the same thing Jr,� Ashley agreed with Jr on the thought.

�Well I don�t know who but something suspicious is up in the garage area,� Amanda commented.

�I think it might be Jeff and Jimmie but I am not sure,� Ashley whispered to Amanda.

Amanda whispered the message to Jr and BONO but then BONO whispered, �Stay here. Lets look like we don�t know what�s going on.�

�Ok,� Jr and Ashley and Amanda whispered.

�What is up with everyone here?� Mikey asked.

�There is something suspicious going on there,� Jr answered.

�And we think it might be Jimmie and Jeff but we are not moving and were looking like we don�t know what the heck they are doing,� Ashley added.

�Ok,� Mikey said.

�Listen have you seen Bobby Kennedy Mikey?� Jr asked Mikey.

�Yes I have,� Mikey answered Jr. �A little while ago working on my Aarons Dream Machine.�

�So that is where he is,� Jr said. �We were talking about him earlier.�

�Oh ok,� Mikey said.

�Ok,� Jr said. �Anyone notice anything that might represent them trying to get us and I have a idea to call Brianna, Kelley and my mom so they can come over here and stick with us. Also get Kevin, Robby and Steve.�

�Ok,� Mikey said. �It�s a good idea.�

Jr begins to dial his sister�s cell phone #.

Then Kelley�s phone rang and she picked it up and said, �Hi.�

�Kelley where are you and are you with Brianna and mom?� Jr asked.

�Yes I am with Brianna and mom,� Kelley told him. �Why did you ask?�

�Just making sure that you guys are together,� Jr answered. �Listen come to my bgn trailer. We need to talk to you guys bout something suspicious around here.�

�Ok,� Kelley said. �We will be right over there. Bye!�

�Bye!� Jr said. Jr hanged up and called Kevin�s cell.

Kevin�s cell rung. �Hello,� Kevin answered his cell.

�Kevin are you with Robby and Steve?� Jr asked.

�I am not with Robby or Steve,� Kevin answered. �I am with my bgn crew chief. Why did you ask me?�

�Just curious,� Jr told Kevin. �Now are you near the end of the qualifying order?�

�No,� Kevin answered. �I am in the middle of the qualifying order.�

�Since your in the middle, come to my bgn trailer,� Jr directed. �Something suspicious is up.�

�Ok,� Kevin said.

They both said bye and Jr hanged up. He then called Steve Park�s cell phone.

Steve phone rang and he picked it up. �Hi,� Steve said.

�Steve you with Robby?� Jr asked.

�Yes,� Steve answered. �Why?�

�You and Robby come to my bgn trailer,� replied Jr. �We need to have a talk with everyone.�

�Ok,� Steve said. �We will be right there. Bye!�

�Bye!� Jr said. Jr then called Teresa�s cell.

Teresa�s cell rang and she picked it up. �Hi,� she said. �This is Teresa. Who is this?�

�Its me Jr,� Jr told her. �Listen can you and Taylor meet at my bgn trailer? Were all having a big meeting.�

�Sure,� Teresa said. �We will be right there. Bye!�

�Bye!� Jr said. Then Jr let Mikey, Amanda, Ashley and BONO know that the rest are coming right away.
