Chapter 40: Before Supper That Night
Kevin just sits there thinking.
�Kevin, what are you thinking about?� Mikey asks.
�Its ok to share since we won�t laugh,� Robby adds.
�Let us know Kevin,� Jr begs. �We will keep it a secret.�
�Its nothing big,� replies Kevin.
�Ohh ok,� Mikey says.
�Well, if it was I would be welcome to help ya out but even with something I would help you because that is what friends are for,� Robby adds.
�Oh ok,� Kevin says.
�Well, I don�t think we should bug Kevin to tell us since he has the right not to,� Mikey says.
Jr and Robby agree with Mikey and then Ashley says, �Hey guys, one of the most crazy things in NASCAR is silly season. Now, there is a whole page here in this magazine full of rumors.�
�I know,� Jr agrees.
�Any good rumors Ash?� Kevin asks.
�Let me see�� replies Ashley.
�Jr, got a good article for you to read I found here,� Taylor tells Jr.
�Ok,� Jr says. �May I see the article Taylor?�
Taylor hands Jr the article as Ashley looks for a good rumor to tell the boys. Jr starts to read the article and then Ashley finds a rumor to tell the boys. Everyone turns to Ashley and Ashley begins to read the rumor to them.
�This is a rumor about Jimmie and Jeff,� Ashley starts.
�Does it do with us,� Jr asks. �Are they getting suspended for Daytona Speedweeks? Are they getting arrested? What?�
�It not about you guys but its about them getting suspended,� answers Ashley.
�Nicey nice,� Taylor comments. �For how long? And is it a rumor or the damn truth?�
�Let Ashley read the article, Taylor,� Jr yells.
Taylor sticks her tongue out as Ashley begins to read, �Jimmie Johnson and his teammate are suspended for the Daytona Speedweeks.�
�Thank you,� Taylor says. �Are they being sent home? And are the police still maybe charging them?�
Ashley continues reading the article, �They are not being sent home because of the fact that the police still want to investigate sine this is a serious thing that has been done. NASCAR President Mike Helton is ok with this measure but has said that if Johnson and teammates go near Jr and his friends, there will be biggest punissment.�
�Anything else?� Taylor asks.
�Taylor, be quiet,� Jr says. �Ashley will tell us if there is more.�
�Ok Jr,� Taylor says.
�That�s it,� reports Ashley. �No more on that deal.�
�Ok,� Jr says.
�This sounds pretty good,� Kevin comments.
�Yep,� Mikey agrees. �It sounds pretty good.�
�Anymore rumors Ash?� Robby asks.
�Let me look,� replies Ashley.
�Jr, well she looks you should read that article since I love it and I think you will also,� Taylor says.
�Ok,� Jr says. He then starts reading the article.
Everybody was quiet, waiting for somebody to say something.
�I just found another one,� Ashley reports. Everybody looks at Ashley as she begins to read the article. �This is about Hendrick Motorsports.�
�Does it do with Jeff and Jimmie fired after this suspension or what?� Jr joked.
�Not really but its about Jimmie and Jeff,� Ashley says giggling.
�Alright, you may begin,� Jr says.
�Ok,� Ashley says and then reads the article. �Rick Hendrick has said that he is disappointed about his two drivers, Jimmie and Jeff and their actions. He feels that the suspension for this weekend is more then enough. He feels the police shouldn�t be involved. Rick has said that he will take this complaint to the head of racing so he can get the police out. Mike then says that he shall win because the police need to be�.�
�Is there anything else?� Kevin and Jr ask.
�Yes!� Ashley says then continues to read. �Mike then says that he shall win because the police need to be involved because of the injuries they have caused to Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kevin Harvick, Ashley McCubbin and Taylor Nicole Earnhardt.�
�Oh,� Mikey says. �Anymore about the article or that is it?�
�That�s it,� reports Ashley.
�Ok,� Mikey says.
�That�s a long one,� Robby comments.
�I know,� Ashley agrees. �I can�t find anymore rumors.�
�Well, at least we know that Jimmie and Jeff aren�t in the race right now and also Rick Hendrick isn�t happy and he I s taking it to the head board,� Taylor sums it up.
�Yep,� Ashley agrees.
�Jr, you like the article I gave you?� Taylor asks.
�Yes I did, Taylor,� Jr answers.
�What was it about Jr?� Kevin questions.
�It about�� Jr starts.
�Its about�.come on, don�t be shy,� Kevin says.
�Its all about my crew chief,� reports Jr.
�Nice,� Kevin says.
�Yep,� Jr agrees. �Taylor, thanks for letting me read this.�
�Ok, Jr, Taylor and Ashley relax,� Kevin instructs. �We gotta think of something for supper. Now, if anything starts hurt a lot, scream.�
Jr, Taylor and Ashley, �Ok.�
�Now, what can we make for supper?� Kevin asks.
�I don�t know,� replies Robby.
�Taylor, whatcha reading now?� Ashley asks.
�I am reading an article about my favourite singer,� replies Taylor.
�Tell me, who�s that?� Jr wonders.
�Britney Spears,� answers Taylor.
�Kool,� Jr comments.
�Yep,� Taylor says.
�Hey, throw a good magazine so I got something to read,� Jr yells.
�Ok Jr,� Robby says then throws Jr a good magazine to read.
�Thanks Robby,� Jr says.
�Your welcome Jr,� Robby says.
�Hey, here�s something interesting about Kevin and Dalandra Harvick,� Ashley says.
�Ok,� Jr says. �Read it.�
�Wait a sec, let me hear this,� Kevin yells.
�Ok,� Ashley says.
Then Kevin sits down and listens to what Ashley reads.
�Kevin Harvick, the bad boy of NASCAR married to Dalandra Harvick, who use to be Randy�s PR Manager?� Ashley starts. �Well, that is true but is it possible? Nobody knows their horoscope stuff to tell the truth but it has so far. The thing that some people still can�t believe is they got married in 2001 at Las Vegas and their wedding present is the 2001 Busch Championship.�
�Ok,� Jr says rolling his eyes.
�Well, that is true but I am not the bad boy of NASCAR anymore,� Kevin comments.
�That is right,� Jr agrees. �That is Jimmie Johnson.�
�Yea,� Kevin agrees.
�Ok,� Ashley says.
