Chapter 35: The Meeting With Mike Helton
Then they head to the track. On the way, Jr looks at Mikey and Robby and says, �You guys ok? I mean, well dealing with me and Kevin, if there is anything up with you guys, we shall help out.�
�Nothing really,� Mikey answers.
�Same here Jr,� Robby adds.
�So there�s nothing big on your mind?� Jr asks.
�Nope,� replies Robby.
�Mikey?� Jr says. �It can be something real small ya know since we can all help you out.�
�I know but there is nothing big on my mind,� Mikey says.
�Not even the tiniest thing?� Robby asks.
�Nope,� Mikey answers.
�Ok,� Robby says.
Then Jr and Kevin went to see Mike in the NASCAR trailer.
�Hey Mike,� Jr says. �You said you wanted to see Kevin and plus, I have something I want to say and go do right after.�
�Yes, come in Jr and Kevin,� Mike says
Jr and Kevin come in and sit down.
�Good Morning Mike,� Kevin starts off. �Um, did you talk to the doctor about me and if I can do Morning practice?�
�I talked to the doctor and you can practice but I want you to see the doctor before you go and start practice.� Mike answers.
Jr smiles and Kevin says, �Yes sir.�
�Ok,� Mike says. �Jr, you were supposed to have reported to the doctor last night but you didn�t. I want you to go back and see the doctor and then you can practice after you see him, ok Jr?�
�But he said that if I stopped hurting last night by 7pm, I don�t have to come back.� Jr explains.
�Ok,� Mike says. �So, nevermind then about seeing the doctor.
Kevin tapes Jr.�s hand and Jr looked at Kevin. Kevin gave him the daring look to tell Mike the straight truth.
�Ok, you can go,� Mike says not noticing the whole look. �Thanks for coming.�
�Mike, can I tell you something before I go with Kevin?� Jr says.
�Sure,� Mike says. �What do you want Jr?�
�Well, after I left the station with Kevin, Mikey and, Robby this morning�my side started to hurt again.� Jr starts off. �So when Kevin goes to the doctor, I was thinking I shall go also.�
�You should go back to the doctor.� Mike says.
�Ok�I�m going right now with Kevin.� Jr says.
�Ok,� Mike says. �Let me know what is going on, call me on my cell. Bye Jr and Kevin.�
They both say ok and bye. They then head over to the infield care centre. Robby sees Jr and Kevin heading to the care centre. Then he heads over to see them before they go to the care centre.
�Hey Robby,� Jr says.
�Hey Jr and Kevin,� Robby responds. �What did Mike say about you guys practicing with us?�
�Kevin has to go see the doctor first and I have to go see the doctor first,� Jr answers.
�Ok,� Robby says.
�See ya after Robby,� Jr says. �Oh, can you tell Delandra, Teresa, Taylor, Richmond, Tony, Gil Martin and Ty where we are?�
�Ok,� Robby says. �I will let them know that.�
�Thanks�.oh, add Amanda and Ashley to that list.� Jr adds a bit more.
�Ok,� Robby says.
They all say bye. Robby runs off to let Amanda, Ashley, Teresa, Ty, Tony, Richard, Gil Martin, Delandra where Kevin and Jr will be.
