Chapter 28: Ashley and Amanda’s hotel room
Then they leave Mikey’s trailer and head to Ashley and Amanda’s hotel room where they were staying. When they got to their door, Mikey knocks.
Ashley answers the door and says, “Hi. You guys can come in.”
“Thanks,” Jr says. “Let me just say that Jimmie and Jeff invaded again.”
“Did you call Mike and what did he do?” Ashley wonders.
“We called and he came and got them just after they grabbed us,” Jr says.
“Oh,” Ashley says. “Are you guys alright? Did Mike take them to the NASCAR trailer?”
“Were fine,” replies Jr. “Yep, he took them to the trailer.”
“That is good to hear,” Ashley comments.
“Yep,” Mikey agrees.
“So, what is your plan now?” Amanda asks.
“We don’t know,” Robby answers.
“Ok,” Amanda says.
“We have to go to the drawing board,” Mikey says.
“Ohh ok,” Amanda says.
“We tried each of are trailers and it didn’t work,” Robby says. “So we may have to talk to one of our buddies or think of something with Mike Helton.”
“Ok,” Amanda says.
“The buddy thing won’t work Robby since we need a place to sleep away from those guys,” Jr adds.
“Ok,” Robby says. “Thanks for letting me know Jr.”
“That’s what I’m here for,” Jr says.
“Ok,” Robby says.
“So what do we do now?” Mikey wonders. “The buddy thing doesn’t work so we go see Mike?”
“I don’t really know,” replies Robby. “I think we might need to make a plan.”
“Listen, four plans and they all didn’t work,” Jr comments. “Mike Helton probably has the best idea of what we can do.”
“Ok,” Robby says. “We can go and see him in a little bit.”
“Good idea since he has dumb, dumber and dumber’s crew.” Kevin agrees.
“Thanks,” Robby says.
“No problem Robby,” Kevin says. “I think this teammate thing might work out.”
“Ok,” Robby says.
“I think something like this brings people more close together,” Mikey comments. “What time is it?”
Ashley checks her watch and says, “Its around 7pm, Mikey.”
“Kool,” Mikey says. “Hey Jr, your side still hurt?”
“My side is not hurting anymore, Mikey,” Jr replies.
“Alright,” Mikey says. “Hey Kevin, did the doctor say to come back at 7pm or was that if it still was sore?”
“He said if it still hurting tomorrow after 5pm…I need to go back,” replies Kevin.
“Wait wait…he said if it still hurting after 5pm tomorrow or if it stops like 1hr before, to come back for you,” Jr says. “And for me if it doesn’t stop at 7pm, to go back.”
“Right Jr,” Kevin says. “Anyways, it still a little sore.”
“Alrighty then,” Jr says “Mine is just a tiny tiny bit sore so who thinks I should go back?”
“I think you should not go back because it is not hurting so much anymore,” Ashley comments.
“Yea true,” Jr says.
“So, what do you guys want to do now since we have nothing to do and Jr is not going back to the infield care centre?” Robby asks.
“I don’t know,” Mikey comments. “I just am thinking about what Ashley said.”
“Ok,” Robby says. “Well, would you guys like to go out for dinner since I will be paying for dinner?”
“Well, that’s a idea,” Mikey says. “Hey Jr, what do you think about it? I mean, its your final call on the deal. Do you think you should go back to the infield care centre?”
“That is a good idea about dinner Robby,” Jr comments. “I don’t think I should go back to the infield care centre.”
“Well, lets go to dinner tonight and Jr, if it starts bothering you, you know you should go back,” Kevin says. “I’m not starting a deal like last yr at California.”
“Ok,” Jr says
“Lets go,” Robby says.
