If I could only let you know I’m really doing fine
If I could only talk to you, for just a moment in time
I’d probably tell you how much I love you, even to this day
Maybe I didn’t say it often enough, but that was just my way.

If I could only let you know, I’m so proud of what you do
If I could only have the chance again, to talk with the kids, too.
I would probably tell Dale Jr I know a champion one day he’ll be
And how I wish I could be there with him, on the stage in New York City.

If I could only let them know, from deep down in my heart
If I could only have a moment, to say I loved them from the start
To Kerry, Renee and all their kids, and the little one on the way,
And Jr, Kelley, Karsyn and Taylor Nicole, I miss you everyday

If I could only let you know of the things I really miss
If I could hold you in my arms again, and feel your tender kiss
I’d probably never be able to say goodbye, and would never want to depart
But it helps to know I continue to live within each one of your heardts.

If I could only let you know, I’m safe with the angels above
There is no sadness, there is no pain, If I could only tell you of the love
I know you probably don’t understand why I received my call just then
But I know you will have the answers, when, we are reunited once again.
