Today is our one year anniversary since we got in front of our best friends, and vowed to be friends forever. Our wedding was so magical; it was like a fairy tale. That day was the happiest day of my life. I’ll never forget that special day. When we were engaged, we made a promise that each other that when it’s going to be our first anniversary, as newlyweds that we are going to exchange gifts. Since she was a little girl, she dreamed of traveling the world and discovering new places. A few months ago, we were talking about our future, and she told me that she would like to take one year off and just have. Go to new places and meet new people. I really like that thought of going away for a year. We were sitting there and thinking of the perfect gateway for the both of us. Both of us were thinking of where we would go. I looked at Kristina, and she looked like she had a idea on her mind.. I asked her what she’s thinking. She said “How about all the foreign countries like Italy, Greece and France?” That is a great idea. We had our idea, but now we had to tell everyone. And the perfect way to tell is at the banquet. When I told everybody at the banquet, everyone was shocked and surprised even Mike Helton. Later on, Martin and Jr got drunk like always. I got my championship that I haven’t seen in a little while. This past season, the team and I worked our asses off to accomplish this. So, Kristina and I want to thank them for doing such a great job this year by doing something fun for sticking together through the year, no matter what. That’s what a team is for. A few days later, we started to pack up for our little gateway, together where no one will bug us for a whole year. But on the other hand, I can’t leave Rick, my teammates and my best friends who I have known for a long time, like Jr. From my perspective, I get to spend a whole year with Kristina, my only true love. I can’t wait to spend every second with her. It was the morning of our long journey around the world. I wake up, get my cloths on, and open the window. As I opened the window, Kristina wakes up. “I’m sorry, I woke you up.” I said to her. She looks at me with those brown eyes. By that look, I knew that she was ready to hit the road and spent the next year with me. She got up and the both of us went downstairs to eat breakfast. When we got to the kitchen, there was already breakfast on the table. Also, on the table, there was an envelope on the table. I opened it, and a note was in it. I took the note and read it. It said “Good morning, I left you and Kristina a surprise under the platter cover. Have a nice time together, love Rick.” That was sweet of him to do this. Everything was ready and smelled soo good. Then, the both of us sat down and had breakfast. It was the best breakfast we both had. After eating, we go ready and got all of our stuff. I went outside to look for mail, if there was any in the mail-box. As I open the mailbox, I hear a sound coming from the backyard. So, I went back and see what it was. As soon as I came, I saw our jet. I walked up to it; I saw that it’s decorated inside. Soon after, Kristina comes out and comes to the backyard. “So, are we ready to go on our journey?” “Yes, I have waited for this a long time.” I smiled. I went inside the house and got all of our baggage. Minutes later, we were ready to take off. Soon, we were on our way to explore the world and see what’s in store for us.
