Chapter 16

  As soon after they arrive at his house.

  KASEY: We’re here.

  KRISTINA: Ok.

  They both get out. Kasey goes over to the door, and knocks.

  KOLE: Who’s there?

  KASEY: It’s me.

  KOLE: Come in.

  KASEY: I’m with a girl.

  The door opens.

  KOLE: Hi. Welcome to the Kahne house. What’s your name?

  KRISTINA: Kristina.

  KOLE: Nice to meet you.

  KASEY: Where’s mom?

  KOLE: She’s in the kitchen.

  KASEY: I want to introduce Kristina.

  KOLE: Ok.

  Kasey and Kristina go into the kitchen.

  KASEY: Hi, mom.

  TAMMY: Hey, kiddo.

  KASEY: I’ve missed you.

  TAMMY: I know, me too. Who’s the girl? Introduce me to her.

  KASEY: Her name is Kristina.

  TAMMY: Hi. So you’re the girl who Kasey keeps talking about?

  KRISTINA: What? You keep talking about me?

  KASEY: Yeah, I still love you.

  KRISTINA: No, this is not happening. I don’t believe this.

  KASEY: It is. I can’t keep my mind of you.

  TAMMY: I better leave you two alone to talk.

  KRISTINA: We’ll talk later. Do you need any help with dinner?

  TAMMY: Sure, thanks.

  KASEY: While you two set up the table, I’ll go and catch up with Kale
and Kole; and see what’s new in their lives.

  KRISTINA: Ok.

  TAMMY: So, how did you meet each other?

  KRISTINA: We met at Jr’s championship party.

  TAMMY: That was a long time ago. Do you think that you will get
together with Kasey again?

  KRISTINA: I don’t know. I mean he has cheated on me before. I didn’t
see that coming that he still loves me. If he loves me, then why did he
cheat on me then?
  TAMMY: If he still loves you, isn’t that something?

  KRISTINA: Well, I know he still loves me, but I don’t trust him?

  TAMMY: Why?

  KRISTINA: He could cheat on me again, and there’s a saying “once a
cheater, always a cheater.”

  TAMMY: Yeah, I know. But this time he won’t. He loves you with all of
his heart.

  KRISTINA: I don’t know, we’ll see what happens. Anyways, do you want
to  set the table now?

  TAMMY: Yes.

  The table was being set up for dinner.
