Love is a nice thing,

But it can also be mean.

Being loved by someone is sweet,

Yet being left out is lonely.

Everybody should have someone to love,

Whether it is family or a close friend.

Yet some in the world don’t

And they feel sadness.

Love can tear a heart down,

Or bring someone’s spirits up.

Some people cry due to love,

But mostly people smile.

Some hearts do get broken along the way,

But hopefully most hearts are kept together.

Love is something we should cherish,

Even if some throw it out like garbage.

It can bring words of sweetness,

Or brings words of hurt.

It all depends on how love treats them.

But good or bad, love is here to stay.
