I love you for who you are

as I write a song for you at this bar.

You make my life so sweet

that it feels so neat.

I wanted to play in the dirt

with you, yet you had to get hurt.

So why oh why did you have too?

I want to know because I love you.

I guess I'll just have to take care of you

because that is one thing I can try to do.

I can try to make you feel better

since we belong together.

We spend every night together

and each night is better.

We looked one night at the star light

as it shined so bright.

I thought of why it shined that way

the whole next day.

Yet I could only of one thing;

that it had a secret meaning.
