Chapter 4: The Talk

Dale sits on the porch as Jeff comes out.

JEFF: Hey.

DALE: Hi.

JEFF: Dale, we need to talk.

DALE: Have a seat.

Jeff sits down.

DALE: Ever since I was young, I always wanted children.

JEFF: And now you have Leighanna. What is it Dale?

DALE: It�s deeper than you think.

Dale gets up and stands by the edge.

JEFF: Does this do with your dad and Emily?

Dale looks at Jeff. He shakes his head yes. Jeff walks over.

JEFF: What is it Dale? Tell me please.

DALE: I was looking forward to Emily having Leighanna. I wanted to show Emily how children can change your perspective when the one you love is beside you to care with you.

JEFF: And it bugs you since you didn�t get the chance.

DALE: Yes and even worse she didn�t even get to see Leighanna.

Dale begins to cry as Jeff pulls him into a hug.

JEFF: It�s ok Dale. Listen, you can stop there. I know it�s got to be hard on you but it�ll be fine. What did I tell you before?

DALE: No matter what you love me.

JEFF: Exactly. I can wait to enjoy the fun parts depending on you. That doesn�t bug me. You just work through it at your own pace. I�ll be here for you all the way.

DALE: Ok. Thanks Jeff.

JEFF: You�re welcome. Now, let�s make this trip fun.

DALE: Hello Universal Studios.

JEFF: And Seaworld.

DALE: Yeah. We must go to Disneyland.

JEFF: Right. So we hit the 3 parks and go to Daytona Beach.

DALE: Sounds good.
