Dehitay was born in the oldest realm of Graal, the realm of the 4 artifacts. His father was a strong warrior named Exodus. His mother was a common woman named Jennae. They were of the family Darkblade. They were amongst the elders of the blood. The elders included Geno (1st of the blood), Exodus (2nd of the blood), Slocky (3rd of the blood), Goten (4th of the blood), Dehitay (5th of the blood), Chrono (6th of the blood), and the rest are in an order I cannot remember: Kindaro, Donnie, Jennae, Willow, Misty, Novacaine, Leal, Blade, the Hungry Hobo, and Wolfie (though it is debatable if Wolfie was an Original Darkblade).
The family Darkblade was part of the Alliance of Darkness. Dehitay became a priest at an early age. But as a part of the Alliance of Darkness, his message had to be redirected to the dead and damned. He therefore entitled himself the "Dark Priest". The power of the Darkblade family grew. As a result, members of the Alliance of Darkness began to fear the inner alliance that was the Darkblade family. Conflict arose with instigators on both sides (Darkblades and non-Darkblades). Kindaro and Donnie of Darkblade were constantly fighting with Nick who was in the Alliance of Darkness but not of the family. The conflict came to a climax when the Ventrue Vampires (an enemy of the Alliance of Darkness) found an inner agent inside of the Alliance. Ventrue claimed they had somebody in power in the Alliance that would betray them. Their words went unheeded. But they had indeed found such a member. It was Exodus Darkblade himself. He had grown tired of the conflict and when the time came, reeked havoc amongst the Alliance. He disbanned everybody underneath him in authority, and then convinced the family Darkblade to split from the Alliance.
And so we existed merely as the family Darkblade for a time. Slocky, 3rd of the blood had taken power of the family for the time being. After time, the Darkblades joined other groups. Exodus went to Ventrue Vampires. It was at this time the family Darkblade realized it had been him who Ventrue spoke of as an inner agent. Until then, we thought he had merely gotten fed up with the conflict as we had. Dehitay went to join the Uncommon Society (who happened to be enemies of both Ventrue and the Alliance when it was around). But due to some conflicts within the society, Dehitay soon after parted to Ventrue Vampires. And ironically, at about the same time, Exodus moved over to the Uncommon Society. He also began to join other bloods, tainting his Darkblade purity. New members began to join the Darkblade blood. Amongst them were Digital, Cali, and Morgoth. Dehitay grew especially fond of Morgoth for they shared a few simliar sadistic characteristics.
It wasn't too long after the new members grew into Darkblade blood that Slocky started a new monitoring system for those he accepted as part of the Darkblade clan. The system did not go along so well. Some Darkblades and myself drew attention to the unwanted system but it wasn't changed. Exodus then made his move to take main power of the clan from Slocky. This split the Darkblade family in half, for though there were a few who didn't like Slocky's new system, most of Darkblade despised the way Exodus had taken on new names and essentially betrayed the Darkblade clan. Dehitay stood by his father Exodus, not for respect, but for power. Slocky did give into Exodus' command out of respect for Exodus' being 2nd of the blood. But the family Darkblade was torn apart as many left including Slocky, Novacaine, Kindaro, Wolfie, and other names I have forgotten over time. Even Dehitay's mother Jennae left. And Dehitay then disowned her as his mother.
Dehitay was not entirely phased by the departure for he had gained more power since most of the elders had either died (Leal, Blade, Donnie, Goten, and others), or left with Slocky. He was now of very few remaining (Exodus, Dehitay, Chrono, and Geno). He turned his attention to the Ventrue Vampires and his friend Morgoth Darkblade. He found a love with the ideas of the Ventrue Vampires. They were perfect for the hidden infections of the Dark Priest. They were the dead and damned he searched for. But the Ventrue Vampires had many traditions, and Dehitay has a natural despise for traditions. Out of spite of being part of a crowd, Dehitay refused to be sired by Ventrue. He instead sought out Lord Brujah and joined the Camarilla though the clan Brujah. And as a result of being the only Brujah Vampire amongst Graal, he was elected as Archon of any Brujah Vampires who be sired in Graal.
Now a vampire, Dehitay grew in power in Ventrue. For like his father, he was a strong warrior (though few were willing to admit it). As time was passed, he was finally recognized as a Primegon (ambassador of the Camarilla). And not too much later, he found a job amongst the entertainers of Graal. He quickly grew in popularity as entertainer. Though he was sadistic in the events he held, they were overall fair, and no other entertainer hosted nearly as much as he did. With a good rank in Ventrue Vampires and a spot as a favored entertainer in the oldest realm of Graal, Dehitay Darkblade was becoming incredibly powerful. But there was the dark side to the Dark Priest that would cause it all to come crashing down.
It first started with the family of Darkblade. My pride had grown on the nerves of my father. The fact I called myself as strong a warrior as himself and my claims of popularity annoyed him. He disbanned both Geno and myself from Darkblade. With Chrono dead, that left his as the sole elder of Darkblade. Though I hate to admit I showed any emotions, I was enraged by the betrayal of my father. Geno too was angry, but he did not take the same path I did. I found the family Tenjin who were close friends of mine and one of the oldest bloodlines in all of Graal. It was either them, Rain, or the Chill blood that was the oldest in all of Graal. And I took my place amongst my new family who were few. To this day, there are most likely less than ten of us.
It wasn't long after being betrayed by Darkblade that my positions as an entertainer fell in jepordy. Though this time not through fault of my pride, but through fault of my sadistic sense of humor. I unleashed a spell that cursed the realm of Graal and slowed down all that were next to me. I found it most humorous, but there were some that found it most annoying. The 2nd in charge of the entertainers, Sting Darkmane (who was also ironically the first in charge of Ventrue Vampires), started his work to have me removed as an entertainer. But I was still very popular with the people of Graal for my constant entertaining and was not removed. At least, not till another day, when my former father was trying to start a fight with me. I started the enchantment to send out the curse that slowed Graal again. Though I only meant to taunt my former father with it and not release it, I screwed up and released it again. I turned it off and ran away to make up for the error. But Exodus reported me to Sting, and that gave Sting the edge he needed to get me removed from the entertainers.
And sure enough to follow my fall from Darkblade and the entertainers, was my fall from Ventrue Vampires. This was caused by my self defined sense of honor. The fact that I had not been sired of Ventrue blood began to raise quite a conflict in Ventrue. They demanded that I be sired from their blood but I refused. To punish me, they refused to acknowledge me as a Primegon. They refused to even acknowledge me as part of the Kindred. Eventually, I annoyed Deadstar Darkmane to the point of having me removed. Though the annoyance was nothing more than me stalking him for my own personal amusement. So I returned to my Brujah inheritance and was make Justicar of the clan.
