| Understanding the needs of the individual, whilst maintaining a focus on group development, is essential for all of those involved in coaching. Motivation through goal setting and regular honest feedback sessions has helped the players to understand what is required in order to advance. It is imperative that a structured approach is applied to training, and that it is communicated to all concerned. I strongly believe that the organisational/developmental skills that I have gained throughout my working life have helped me to become a more effective coach. |
