JT: Hey Sean.
Sean: (yelling) What do you want?
JT: We have to talk about 'Christmas joy'.
Sean: I don't even celebrate Christmas.
JT: What?
Sean: I have nothing to celebrate. My parents are drunks and gone- my brother is never there for me- I have no money.
JT: Believe it or not, Sean, but there's alot of good things about that.
Sean: Yeah? What?
JT: Well, my parents are always on my case. You don't have to worry about that.
Sean: Atleast you have parents, JT. You know what I do for Christmas? Watch TV and eat chips.
(JT thinks for a few seconds)
JT: How about you come to my house for Christmas?
Sean: Why?
JT: You need to a family to celebrate with!
Sean: What's the catch?
JT: What do you mean?
Sean: What's in it for you?
JT: Um, you have to tell my parents how good a kid I am.
Sean: (pauses) Deal.

Ashley: How'd I get stuck with you?
Toby: You tell me.
Ashley: It's bad enough I have to live with you- Mr. Perfect.
Toby: Believe me, it's even worse living with someone who gets away with everything.
Ashley: Me?
Toby: Yeah- you get anything less than a C and you are grounded for a day.
Ashley: Well, it may be hard for you to understand- but it's not that easy for me, okay?
Toby: (sarcastically) Sorry.
Ashley: Maybe if spent our time helping each other rather than getting along and mom wouldn't be on our case all the time.
Toby: What do you mean?
Ashley: You help me with school and I help you get ungrounded.
Toby: Okay...

Liberty: For Christmas I plan on spending my time catching up on my media immersion work- since some of us aren't teacher's pet.
Emma: Me?
Liberty: Yeah.
Emma: I'm not teacher's pet.
Liberty: Then how'd you get better grades the I did?
Emma: I live with Mr. Simpson- I live with media immersion.
Liberty: Yeah. Whatever.
Emma: Liberty, it's not too hard. I can help you with it if you want.
Liberty: You think I want your help.
Emma: I don't want you to think I get good grades because I'm Mr. Simpson's stepdaughter.
Manny: Liberty, stop being such a drama queen. Everyone knows you are the smartest person in Degrassi.
Liberty: What?
Manny: That's how you got that awesome job of the TV announcer.
Liberty: IT's not that great.
Manny: Uh yeah it is. I would kill for it.
Liberty: Hello- I miss homeroom, aka social hour, I'm late for first period, and if I mess up, everyone laughs at me. Plus, I have to write up those announments every day!
Manny: But it looks really fun.
Liberty: Well it's not.
Emma: Manny, you would miss socializing with Sully. (Manny rolls her eyes) Your perfect boyfriend.
Manny: He's not perfect. He doesn't even really like me.
Emma: Atleast you got a guy.
Liberty: Atleast you got the grades.
Manny: Atleast you got the job.
Emma: Listen to us, we are so jealous! We should do something.
Manny: Like what?
Emma: Well, I help Liberty with media immersion.
Manny: Yeah. And I can help set you up with Chris.
Liberty: And I guess you can take over the end of day announcements for today.
Emma: Great. You see, we all can get what we want.

Scene 13- We see Hazel talking to Jimmy. Ellie is behind her.

Hazel: That's great. You are so funny Jimmy.
Jimmy: Well, I get around.
Hazel: Oh my god, can you believe Ellie- she thinks she so cool because she's moving up to grade 11 English a year only.
Ellie: (cutting in) Excuse me? I'm not the one who thinks I am the most popular girl in school!
Hazel: What? Me?
Ellie: Look at you- you are always all over Jimmy- all giggly and crap.
Hazel: What are you talking about?
Ellie: Look, Hazel, I'm sick of you being such a wannabe.
Jimmy: I think someone's jealous.
Hazel: YOu have no reason to be jealous of me, Ellie.
Ellie: Oh yeah?
Hazel: Well, look at you, miss Smart. I would do anything!
Ellie: Anything?
Hazel: YOu name it.
Ellie: Okay. How about you set me up with Sean and I help you out in English.
Hazel: Uh, okay.

Scene 14- We see grade 9 and 10 in their classrooms when Manny comes on the TV.

Manny: Hello Degrassi Students. This is Manny Santos, filling in for Liberty Van Zantz. I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanika, or very cool Kwanza. School will resume January 5th. See you all then. Oh, and if anyone is stuck on last minute Christmas presents, may I suggest the gift of honesty and help. To receive you need to give and to give you need to recieve. This has been Manny Santos, filling in for Liberty Van Zantz. (we hear the Degrassi theme song as the TV goes blank.)
