Swear in front of the god and you two will be legal man and wife.
Cheer and clapping sound was all over the hall, congratulating the
newly weds. The only person sitting at the very end was not moving, not having
any facial expression. He was staring blankly at the newly weds, heart deepen,
feeling depressing but still he wishes them from the very bottom of his heart,
all the best to them.
The bridegroom was laughing happily as the guests congratulate
him. He was showing all his love to his wife, smiling all the way until his
sight came into contact with that man and his smile faded. Just gazing into
each other eyes…
“ Kaoru let go out to take pictures with the guest.” The bride
held onto his husband arm and they walk out together.
The other man still did not move, his vision was still going after
the bridegroom, the man he love.
The newly weds was sending their guest off, shaking hand with
them. It was here that Kaoru receive a note in his hand, he did not see clearly
who gave it to him but he could guess it. Taking a short break, Kaoru went
behind the church and read the note. At the moment he see the handwriting, he
know he is right.

All the best to you and your wife

Kaoru let go of the small piece of paper, letting
it blew away by the wind together with his love for that man. It is all over
for them now… and forever. The paper fly in the air, Kaoru look at it and smile
and a tear drip down from his face.
“ Kaoru what are you doing here, we’re all waiting for you.”
“ Just taking some rest my love.” Kaoru reply and walks to his
wife.

Kaoru first meet him when he was sixteen years old, in high
school. He was a transfer student who had make a rare transfer during the
middle of the year, had make himself the attention of the school. They were in
the same class and he sits beside Kaoru.
Their first impression for one another was extremely awful, they
had ended up having a big fight before they finally becomes friend. During the
rest of the high school period, they were the best buddies, always stick
together in whatever thing they do until one day they finally realized their
feeling for one another.
Follow by, they get to know each other feeling and had accepted
the fact that they had fall in love with the same sex and they become lover.
This relationship does not go on for long; there had been rumors about them as
gay. At first they just silently accept the rumors but after some time when the
rumors was getting on too much, he finally left Kaoru for his own pride as a
man.
This is the first time they break up. Kaoru very first love who
had hurt him.
Five years later.
Kaoru meet him for the second time, in Tokyo. Kaoru had went for
work and one day he went to a pub where he meet him there. He was working in
the pub. Kaoru thought he will never forgive him for leaving him behind, he
thought he will hate him for sure when they meet again but all this was all
push away when they see each other again.
They fall in love again. This time deeply in love because they
were already adult, they don’t have to care so much about rumors, especially in
place like Tokyo. But they were wrong.
They never expect their problem would arise because of them being
as an adult. Firstly, the apartment they are living together had found out
about their relationship had ended their contract with them and they had to
move away. Kaoru boss get to hear of some rumors about him and his lover had
force him to resign his job as the office was all about Kaoru affair and had
affected the others work.
Kaoru willing quit his job because all he wants is to be with his
lover. He did not care so much, he could just find another job whether is it an
office job or sale job. He did all this for his lover… sacrifice so much even
when Kaoru family get to know about it, Kaoru decides to chose his lover and
left his family.
Then one day, Kaoru went home and find his lover sleeping with
someone else. Being an adult, this will be another problem, the third party.
His lover had did all he can to make Kaoru believe he only love him and Kaoru
believe, knowing that his lover really did love him but he was just some kind
of flirt.
Few months later, they broke up. Kaoru was left behind again.
Kaoru had been living in Tokyo all the while after his lover left
him. He could not go home because his parents did not forgive him, he could not
find a proper job because the rumors about him were flying all over those
offices. He is working in few places as part timer, had buried himself in his
work in order to forget his lover.
He hates him; never forgive him. Kaoru had been telling himself
all this almost every night before he sleep. So many years had passed; Kaoru
still could not forget his lover.
Kaoru was working as usual in a café when he meets his lover
again.
“ Kaoru I finally found you.”
Kaoru stare at the person standing in front of him. It was the
very same person that had left him twice, he should hate this person, he should
never forgive him but his heart softens.
“ Die… why are you here?”
“ I have been searching for you since I come back from Hongkong
and I finally find you.”
“ Why are you still looking for me… you know how much I … I …”
Kaoru wanted to hit the man standing in front of him but he couldn’t.
“ I love you Kaoru.” Die ended their speech with these sentences.
They live with one another, for the next few years Die was showing
all his love to Kaoru, making up for what he had cause for his love during the
past. They were happy together, love each other.
Kaoru was so blissful all the while that he did not expect this to
happen. Die brought a little girl home one day and tells Kaoru that this little
girl was his daughter. Kaoru was stun for what he had heard from his lover but
still he forgive him since Die told him that he had already divorce with the
girl mother.
Not long after, Die ex-wife appear in front of them and want to
reunite with Die. Not knowing what he should do. Kaoru dote the girl and want
her to have a complete family but this will mean he had to give up Die. He
couldn’t be selfish but he love Die and does not want to give up.
In the other hand, what will Die do? Kaoru was afraid that Die
would go back to his wife for his daughter sake although Die tell Kaoru that he
only love him now, Kaoru was still frighten that Die might left him again.
Few days later, Die and his daughter did not come back to Kaoru
place.
Kaoru was shattered. For the three days, he did not eat a thing or
leave the house. All he did was sitting beside the bed, dazing.
“ Kaoru…?” Die called out as he enters the house.
Kaoru thought he had heard wrongly but then he confirm it was Die
calling him when he hears it second times.
“ Die!” Kaoru rush out of the room and see his lover.
Die sees how his lover had become so pale, he felt pain for Kaoru
and embraces his lover tightly.
“ I thought you never come back again…” Kaoru had cried out.
“ Didn’t I left you a note telling you that I’ll be bringing Miaka
(Die’s daughter) back to his mother and will be back soon?”
Die remembers his past doing. Kaoru was properly afraid that he
would not come back again. Somehow he curses himself for making his lover
suffered.
“ Promised you never left me.”
Die took out something from his pocket and shows it to his lover.
“ Let’s get marry.” Die said and open the little box containing a ring. “ I
bought this during my trip, let go to USA and we get marry there.”
Kaoru finally smile, finally he thought Die would be with him
forever. “ I will.” He whispers at Die ear, kissing his lover.
Kaoru was making his last check before leaving the house. Die had
gone to collect the ticket and they will be meeting in the airport. Just as
Kaoru was about to leave the house, he heard something ringing and finally
found a handphone that was left behind by Die.
“ Hello.” Kaoru answered the phone.
“ Papa?”
“ You’re Miaka?”
“ Uncle Kaoru?” Miaka
called. “ Where is papa?”
Kaoru speaks to Miaka for a while telling her Die was not in and
asking how is her and her mother. Miaka just said out what is in her mind since
Kaoru had asked her and after a while they hang up the phone.
I like uncle Kaoru but you steal papa away from me.
Kaoru was shattered. He had hurt a child, not
knowing what should he do.
“ Miaka… I’m sorry… I” Kaoru muttered.
Papa said he wants to be with me but he could
not leave uncle Kaoru. Please give papa back to me? Uncle Kaoru cans you?
Kaoru rubs his forehead. He was happy that Die had chosen him this
time but will Die blame him in future for separating him and Miaka? Miaka is
still a child, she need Die more than Kaoru… she needs.
Die was still waiting for Kaoru at the airport. The plane had fly
away, so many hours had passed but Kaoru does not appears.

Kaoru and his wife enter the wedding car and drove away after his
wife throw the bouquet of flower to the other girls there. Kaoru was looking out
the car, his mind was still thinking about the pass. Just then he saw someone
standing on top of the small hill, Kaoru could see clearly the face of that
man.
Kaoru smile to that man, it was a smile from his heart and the car
away.
“ What are you looking at?”
“ Nothing just a friend.”
Kaoru hug his wife on the waist and give her a kiss.
Die look at the vanishing car. He had sees the smile of his love,
at least now he know Kaoru does not hate him and Kaoru was happy. Die let go of
the paper in his hand and it flew away with the wind. It was the very same
piece of paper Kaoru had seen…
