Eyes on?

 

Every concert was the same to me. The only place I am stick was always behind them, everytime I sees them running throughout the whole concert hall, enjoying the freedom during the concert, I always waned to join then but I can’t leave my drum. Freedom was not all I wish for, I remember seeing Kaoru and Toshiya playing their instrument together, enjoying each other guitar sound, if I can exchange my position with Toshiya, I would have the chance to stick close to Kaoru and even challenge my playing with him.

 

If… but this is not possible isn’t it?

 

“ Shinya?” Just I notice a hand was waving in front of my face. “ Shinya! Shin…” I blushed slightly seeing that it was him who was calling me. “ Yes Kaoru?” I stop my daydreaming.

 

“ It’s half an hour passed practice time, can you give Kyo a call in case he was still SLEEPING soundly at home, thanks Shinya and also Toshiya…” Kaoru stopped what he’s saying when the door opened.

 

“ Morning.” Die greets cheerfully to us and behind him was our dear bassist whom was still yawning. “ Good morning Shin-chan and KaoKao.” He greet with another yawn.

 

I notice a slight smile appear across Kaoru face when he heard Toshiya calling him KaoKao. It happened everytime when Toshiya called him this, and Kaoru was always glancing at Toshiya with a gentle and caring expression, maybe none of them had notice this but I had and it hurt me everytime I saw Kaoru with this expression. How I wish Kaoru would use this expression on me. Will he, even once in my lifetime and I would be blissful enough?

 

“ Shinya!” I realized I was dreaming again and hurried to give Kyo a call.

 

Die grab Toshiya with him and they were whispering something. My phone was still ringing and I hope Kyo would answer my phone before it was cut off. Toshiya was giggling now and Kaoru was looking at the direction where Die and Toshiya was. Was he jealous to see them together just like when I see you and Toshiya together? I start wondering as the phone was still ringing.

 

 

“ You had promised me not to call Kaoru like that.”

 

“ You mean ‘KaoKao’ huh?” Toshiya purposely repeat again. “ Was my Die-Die jealous again huh?” Toshiya smirked.

 

“ Die-Die…” Die was speechless for a while follow by his face redden slightly. “ Oh Totchi I love you, can you repeat it again?” Die hugs and kiss Toshiya, earning a pinch from Toshiya.

 

What was Kaoru feeling now to see them like that? The phone have already been cut off and I was still holding to it while glancing at Kaoru to see his expression, was it the same on mine when I see him and Toshiya together, jealous?

 

No, Kaoru was smiling also. There was no sign of jealousy on his face. Why?

 

 

“ Who are you calling?”

 

“ Kyo.” I answered.

 

“ I’m beside you.”

 

I stared back at Kyo who was standing beside me while the phone was still on my hand. “ You’re here.” I simply say to him and hang up the phone on my hand. Sweatdrop...

 

 

“ Hey! Now is band time, save your loving action after it.” Kaoru ordered and walks to Die. “ Toshiya is mine now.” He pulled Toshiya with him, showing Die a grin. “ Working time.” He hand some sheets to Toshiya.

 

“ You’re mean.” Toshiya pretend weeping.

 

Both Kaoru and Die broke out laughing, and Toshiya too.

 

 

Kaoru, Die and Toshiya, their relationship isn’t something I can understand. I stared at the three and sighed, where I heard another sighing from Kyo. “ It always look like there’s only three member in the band when they are together isn’t it?” I agreed to Kyo, partly, because there is always room for Kyo if he really wanted to get into it.

 

“ Let’s start!”

Die pulls the glass of wine away from Toshiya ignoring the later protest. “ One more please…” Die stops him from ordering again. “ Kaoru I think I must get him home now.” Die says referring to the half drunk bassist. “ See you guys tomorrow then.” Die pull Toshiya up and after a while of struggling, he had no choice but to carry the drunk bassist on his back in order to get him out.

 

“ Wait for me!” Kyo goes running behind them. “ We on the same direction.”

 

It just the two of us now and I starts getting nervous for no reason. My grip on the glass was getting stronger, thankfully that I had not break it when I realized it.  My heart was pumping fast remembering that Kaoru was just sitting beside me, the though of just the two of us was already making me so content.

 

“ Shinya?”

 

“ Yes… yes?” I stopped my dreaming again and there it was Kaoru starring at me in confusion. “ Yes Kaoru?” I blushed hard now as I can feel my face burning.

 

“ Are you ready to go?” Kaoru asked.

 

I was praying hard that my disappointment was not shown on my face. “ Aright.” I answered, disappointed.

 

 

“ Ah drinking no driving, let’s shared a taxi home.” Kaoru say to me when we walk out. We were in the taxi few minutes later, “ Go to your place first.” Kaoru tell the driver my address and then his. “ But your place will reach first if we take this route…” I asked.

 

“ How can I let our beautiful drummer to go home alone in such late hour?” Kaoru smirk.

 

I looked out of the window not wanting to face Kaoru, as I was afraid that the excitement on my face was too obvious. My face feels so hot now. Kaoru wanted to sent me home first and even if he only does this because he was worry of his younger bandmate but it was enough for me to remain happy for quite some time. I was trying hard to control myself from laughing, oh terrible feeling to hold back excitement.

 

[Kaoru: Shinya? -_-; are you aright? Worry…worry…]

Die was half death when he finally carries Toshiya and climb up the stairs of seven story, he curse as he proceed toward the apartment, cursing the lift to have break down during this situation. “ You’re gonna to pay for this, you brat.” Die was referring to Toshiya for making him to do all this hard job. Slowly he place Toshiya on the floor not wanted to wake the bassist up so that he can find his key.

 

“ Shit!” Die curse again as he sees Toshiya opening his eyes looking at Die and…

 

“ AH I WANT TO…” Die grabs the bassist and covers his mouth before he wakes the other neighbour. “ Shh, shut up Toshiya…” And there it go before Die could finish his words; Toshiya had start kicking on the door.

 

“ Stop kicking it, I opened it now.” Die pulled the bassist away. “ You’re gonna break it!” Die finally finds the key and after some struggling, he finally opened the door and drag Toshiya into the house. “ Ugrr shouldn’t let you drink so much.” Die muttered as he dragged Toshiya into the bedroom after closing the door. “ There you go.” An evil grin on Die face as he throw Toshiya onto the bed. “ Now you can shout whatever you like, anyway it soundproof wall.” Die close the door as Toshiya starts yelling inside. “ Don’t blame me if you gonna lose your voice tomorrow and it your idea to have soundproof wall.”   

 

“ I’m tired as hell.” Die stretch his body as he switch on the television.

 

 

One hour later.

 

Die walks out of the bathroom after having his shower and only covering his lower part with a towel. He opens the door to the room where Toshiya was in and who was now sleeping soundly. Die takes out some clothes in the cupboard and put it on. He yawns and moves to the bed where he pulls Toshiya to one side and he sleep on the other.

 

“ Brat.” Die smiled and place the blanket gently on the sleeping bassist. “ You going to pay for it tomorrow night for tiring me like that.” He places a kiss on Toshiya and switch off the bed light.

I straighten my body when I hear what Kaoru had told me. “ What? Die and Toshiya was lover?” I asked again to confirm. Kaoru nodded. “ They are since Mmm… 2 years ago I think.”

 

I laughed. “ So Die and Toshiya was together for so long.” I did not know a taxi breakdown will let me know about Die and Toshiya, in fact I was grateful to the breakdown or I would have gone home long ago and may not have chat with Kaoru and know about it. “ Does Kyo know about it?” I remembered suddenly.

 

“ Kyo, of course he knows.”

 

I pouted. “ How come I am the only one who did not know about it?”

 

“ Err…” (-_-;)

 

 

Kaoru was stuck in finding an explanation until I broke into laughter and only that he knows I was just joking with him. We broke into laughter together. Something was still bothering me now, Kaoru know that Die and Toshiya was lover but he is…

 

“ Kaoru?” I decide to ask.

 

“ Huh?” He stopping laughing when he see me getting serious.

 

“ Was you in love with Toshiya?”

 

Silent…

 

Silent…

 

I waited for his answer. It was the worse thing to know the person he loves was in love with another and worse of all; they were working and facing each other everyday. Kaoru must felt so hurt to see Die and Toshiya together especially when he know their relationship. I felt hurt for Kaoru too. I may be unhappy if Toshiya and Kaoru become lover but in this situation, I really wish that they were so that Kaoru were not be so upset.

 

“ Shinya.” Kaoru finally speaks. “ What on earth make you thinks that I was in love Toshiya?” Kaoru broke out into laughter again.

 

I was confused and slightly relaxed to hear that Kaoru was not in love with Toshiya but his expression when he looks at Toshiya weren’t an act? “ Everytime when you looked at him, your expression was gentle and caring isn’t it?” I felt hurt when I remember the expression on Kaoru face when he look at Toshiya, which how I wish it was for me. “ It can’t be a lie from your expression. You know I can see it because I was standing behind him mostly.”

 

Kaoru smirk. “ I wasn’t looking at him.”

 

“ You’re lying.” I hated Kaoru lying to me. “ Then who are you looking at with that expression of yours?” I wanted so much to know or let him admitted so that I would not have to guess so much.

 

“ You’re seemed jealous didn’t you?” Kaoru still have the smirk on his face as he bring his hand up and touches my face, which surprised me. “ Who do you think I’m looking at huh?”

 

My heart was beating fast and my face blushed hard.

 

“ I’m not looking at Toshiya so who do you think I am looking at where there is only two person in the same direction huh?” Kaoru whispered to me and kiss me on my lips unexpectedly.  

 

 I thought my heart would stop beating at the moment. Kaoru was kissing me…

 

“ SHINYA!”

 

[Ok dear Shin-chan faint from excitement.]

The next morning at Die’s place.

 

“ Wake up Die!” Toshiya was shaking his lover vigorously and yelling at his highest pitch. “ WAKE UP!”

 

Die covers his ear and opened his eyes slightly to see the angry bassist glaring at him. Sweatdrop… “ What the matter?” Die asked and half of him remembering what was going on. 

 

“ What do you think happened huh?” Toshiya was glaring at Die and pointing to the love mark all over his body. “ Don’t tell me this is mosquito bites.” Toshiya eyed at Die for a satisfy explanation.

 

Die sits up from the bed. “ Err… it was like that… yesterday night I close the light bed and give you a kiss then I went back to sleep but you kick the blanket away so I have to cover it up for you again and so I place another kiss on you because you’re just too cute while you smiling… Hahaha…” Die gives a silly grin.

 

“ Two kiss and love mark all over my body huh?”

 

“ Wahh it you who pull me down for another kiss and then this and then that… you making me to…” Die pretend weeping making himself seem to be like the victim. “ You still wanted me to… and you say you love when I …” Die wanted to continue but Toshiya covered his mouth up.

Toshiya face reddens.

 

Die grabs Toshiya suddenly and pushes him onto the bed where he starts kissing him. “ Wait… what you’re doing?” Toshiya asked while he grasp for some air. “ Die!” Toshiya giggle as Die lick him.

 

“ You make me climb up the stair carrying you on my back so you gonna pay for it now, let’s continue where I had stopped yesterday night.”

 

“ Die! Wahh… help… Hahaha…”

“ Kaoru?” I opened my eyes and was surprised to see Kaoru resting his head on the sofa. Why was Kaoru at my house? Why am I sleeping on the sofa? I started to recall everything that happened yesterday and my heart starts beating faster and faster when the memory comes back bit-by-bit.

 

Wahh… how can I fainted like that?

 

Does that mean that Kaoru likes me?

 

Ohh what should I do now?

 

I was having all sort of expression until I heard laughing sound and it was obvious to be Kaoru. I wanted so much to find a hole and hind inside when I realized Kaoru had see me making all sort of facing and behaving like an idiot. Wahh I felt like crying now… blushes…

 

“ Kaoru about yesterday…”

 

“ I mean it.” Kaoru stopped laughing and sound serious now. “ Long ago before Toshiya came and I was in love with you.” He takes a breath and continues. “ I don’t have enough courage to tell you until I see Die and Toshiya’s love, it was them who give me the courage and I wanted to tell you this… I love you Shinya.”

 

Kaoru…

 

The tears formed in my eyes and drop down. It had been so long that I was also in love with you and I thought we would never have a start because I always think that you are in love Toshiya but now does it mean that we can be together?

 

“ Will you be with me Shinya?”

 

This is the happiest moment in my life.

 

“ I love you Shinya.”

 

I burst out crying out to Kaoru expect. “ Shinya… Shinya?” Kaoru was anxious.

 

Seeing an anxious Kaoru, I suddenly broke out laughing. I must look like a crazy man now, crying and laughing at the same time. I took a deep breath and wipe away the tears in my eyes. I wanted to tell you also that…

 

“ I love you too Kaoru!”

Kyo went dashing into the studio after he was late for about two hours. “ Sorry guys, I promise I won’t…” Kyo stopped when he notice that there was no one in the room. He looked at his watch to confirm that he was not early. (-_-;)?
