Month One (April): The Invasion Begins
Caught off-guard, the earth nations struggle to contain the invaders.
April 7 - Orrorsh bridge drops in Borneo, Indonesia.
April 8 - Victorian Royal Army and other Victorians cross a second Bridge into Indonesia. Indonesia is cut off from the rest of the world, becoming the first zone of silence.
April 9 - The first game of the American League baseball season is horribly interrupted when, just as the first pitch by Walter "The Truth" Jones to David "Sky-High" Miller is thrown, a giant living bridge crashes down from the sky, crushing Shea Stadium. First Living Land bridge drops in New York City. All communications cease over a large area of the eastern US.
US President Douglas Kent and Vice President Gregory Farrell, in New York at a Global Peace conference of the United Nations, vanish and are presumed dead. They were there to attend the United Nations conference on Terrorism, along with other world leaders. They were to ratify and sign a history-making treaty that would usher in a new age of peace and cooperation.
A special session of both Houses is called to discuss this "incident".
Relief teams from Thailand and the Phillipines head for Singapore, never to be seen again.
Wounded BBC reporter found outside Orrorsh zone. Mumbles about monsters and British soldiers.
April 10 - US National Guard units from Pennsylvania and New Jersey sent to check out New York, makes contact with the invaders in Pennsylvania and. They manage to call in a report to skeptical upper brass before they are lost to the invasion.
April 11 - Speaker of the House Jonathan Wells assumes duties of U.S. executive office while refusing the title of President.
US armed forces placed on DefCon Two.
Newark, New Jersey burns to the ground.
Captain Nicolai Ondarev responds to a request for a meeting by Katrina Tovarish, the top product of the Soviet Department of Psychic research. She foretells of a storm over the earth, a dark rin, seven invaders, and seven places. A vision she has been experiencing for months. She identifies Borneo, New York, Britain, France, the USSR, Egypt, and Japan as sites of the invasion.
April 12 - Baruk Kaah captures Eddie Paragon and makes him a lieutenant.
The invaded area of the United States has been mapped as a 600 mile, diamond-shaped area on the eastern seaboard. Reserve units, National Guard and state-side regular army are moving toward Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philidelphia, and Washington DC to defend those cities in case the "dead zone" spreads. Troops abroad are preparing for the call home. All recon by anything but satellite and high- flying planes has failed. Troops air-dropped into the zone have been lost.
Refugees pour out of the zone of silence bringing stories of savagery and primordial invaders.
Talks with the Canadian government discuss the creation of a joint committee.
The Gaunt Man's "Infernal Device" begins to slow the Earth's rotation.
April 13 - Living Land bridge drops in Ft. Providence, Canada. Five tribes of Edeinos spread out quickly, gaining massive territory, while the Canadian government tries unsuccessfully to contain them.
Refugees flood out of the Zone of Silence into Trenton and Philidelphia.
Forces in the USSR begin searching a field for something that Katrina Toverish says must be present.
April 15 - Wendy Miller is the victim of a hit-and-run in Philidelphia. She dies, and Tolwyn of House Tancred is reincarnated in her body.
Living Land bridge drops in Sacremento, California, just outside McClellan Air Force Base.recon video provided by Captain Eugene Johnson of the Air Force, pilot of an A-10. The Dead Ring forms, a three- hundred mile area around Sacramento.
In the east, the Zone of Silence has spread as far west as ohio and as far north as Canada. There seems to be no way to stop them. As their front advances, US weapons malfunction and break down. America is falling, and it cannot defend itself.
Jonathan Wells assumes the office of president of the U.S. He appoints Secretary of Defense Allen Quartermain as Vice President and begins filling his cabinet with people who have the skills to salvage the situation. General Clayton Powell of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The USSR forces locate a Stellae.
The Japanese announce that they have found three Stelae and removed them, thwarting an invasion of Japan.
Astronomers discover slowing of Earth's rotation. If the current pace of deceleration continues, the planet will cease rotation in eighty-three days, during which period the weather patterns will radically alter and temperatures will dispurse toward their two extremes.
April 20 -Mass murderer Malcolm Kane is recruited as a servant of the Gaunt Man.
The USSR has uncovered the Stelae, and defend it from a Tharkoldu attack.
April 26 - Dr. Hachi-Mara-Two arrives on Earth from Kadandra to aid it in its struggle against possibility raiders. She is pursued by Thratchen, a Techno-Demon.
Month Two (May):
May 4 - Chicago overrun by Living Land forces.
May 9 - Asyle bridges drop onto England, Scotland, Ireleand and Scandinavia. High Lord Uthorian delays his arrival on Earth, waiting for a beachhead to be established.
May 10 - False Papacy bridge drops in France, in the city of Avignon, causing technology beyond the medieval to cease functioning. An arch of golden light falls from the sky to the awe of the gathered crowd of believers in what will be remembered as the Miracle of Avignon. A religious fervor reminiscent of the Spanish Inquisition takes hold of France. The movement quickly turns into a revolution, controlled by clergy of the Avignon Papacy. The Pope in Rome denounces the movement as a "perversion against God." All technology is banned, heresies become crimes. Religious fervor rages through the streets. Talk of the Second Coming begins, and of Armagedon.
May 12 -Russia foils an invasion attempt of their country. The Stelae, rigged with explosives. It is destroyed as directed by Katrina Toverish, just as the Tharkold bridge is opening to earth. The possibility surge from Earth wrecks the Tharkold maelstrom bridge and wreaks untold havoc on the cosm of the techno- demons.
US government begins to plan the evacuation of Washington DC. for Houston, Texas, the best choice for distance and facilities.
President Wells signs an executive order announcing the formation of the "Delphi Council," an organization to oversee the provisional government and organize resistance. It will be a massive think-tank, reporting directly to the Executive branch, allowing decisions of import to be made quickly, without the delays congress would cost. Senator Ellen Connors (R- Tx) is sworn in as chairperson
May 14 - Edeinos forces are driven back from Silicon Valley.
May 15 - Baruk Kaah challenges the Core Earth reality hardpoint at Silicon Valley, Sacramento California. The city is rocked by a massive reality storm. Although many are injured by the effects of the storm, there are no casualties, and the city manages to hold on to its reality. Kaah fails in his attempt to overturn the Silicon Valley hardpoint. This is Kaah's first significant military defeat.
May 16 - US government officially moves to Houston, Texas. Word gets out of the dead zone that parts of Manhattan have been reclaimed by New York police working with street gangs. A government has survived in Manhattaen. And the ex-Mayor of New York claims to have seen President Kent alive.
The Carredon of Orrorsh is slain in the grand canyon by Tolwyn of Tancred, using energy provided by the Heart of the Coyote.
Nile Empire bridge drops in Egypt. Doctor Mobius first appears in Thebes, Egypt, and proclaims a "return to the Glorious Days of history." He proclaims the "beginning of the Tenth Empire," as his armies sweep across Northern Africa.
The term "stormer" or "Storm Knight" (the prefered term) becomes the popular name for people who are able to make machines work in the invaded areas.
May 19 - Nile Empire launches attacks on surrounding countries, seizing huge tracts of land and firmly establishing the Tenth Empire of the Nile on Earth.
May 20 - The Imperial Palace begins construction in the Nile.
Uthorian sends the Hunt to The Living Land to aid Baruk Kaah in his conquests. American casualties in their ride across the continental US are numbered in the hundreds.
The Delphi council Executive order granting them the ability to raise an army (called 'agents') reaches the desk of the president.
The sixty Mystery Men of Terra cross to Earth.
The US Army meets the Edeinos in the Sequoia National forest. The Hunt enters the engagement, and the Us forces are destroyed. Not enough Edeinos survive to activate the next stelae, however. The Us manages to move in backup units and close the gap.
May 21 - Mobius launches his artificial sun, "The Orb of Ra," at his Temple of Ra in Thebes. He promises to protect his people from the slowing of the Earth. After 43 hours of darkness in the middle east, the people are afraid and willing to accept any savior. This act by Mobius saves lives and brings him numerous followers and allies.
Eddie Paragon walks out of Baruk Kaah's camp.
President Wells signs a doocument granting the Delphi Council the right to recruit and train agents.
May 22 - Eddie Paragon walks out of the Living Land in the Sequoa National Forest.
Nippon invades Japan in secret.
May 24 - Ace Decker comes out of a coma at Twentynine palms california, and is met shortly thereafter by President Wells. A Delphi Council agent is on sight, ready for action.
May 25 - Libya signs non-aggression pact with Nile Empire.
Month Three (June):
June 11 - President Wells and Andrew Decker meet for the last time. Spartan Agent Lance Odell assassinates President Wells and escapes into the base.
June 12 - Gaunt Man defeated in Orrorsh; Thratchen takes power and begins a search for the Gaunt Man's Darkness Device.
The orrorshan Hunter Scythak tries to kill Andrew Decker. He is defeated by Kurst. Decker leaves for the front to act as a military advisor.
Dennis Quartermain assumes the position of President of the US. Delphi council agents are sent to investigate the assassination. Decker is implicated as the assassin.
Malcolm Kane is in Singapore. He is approached by Hellion Court member Lord Cheltenham, and allies himself with an occultist named Kibos.
June 13 - The second Battle of Sequoia begins.
June 14 - The Royal Palace of Mobius is complete in the Nile.Ethiopia, Israel, Libya, and Sudan are the major areas of conflict. The Empire is making progress on all fronts.
The Hunt joins the Battle of Sequoia. The defenders, successful in their defence with a valiant stand and clever tactics, have held the armies of the Edeinos at bay. But now a slaughter begins.
Baruk Kaah is wounded by Ace Decker.
Stormers remove a Stelae supporting the expansion of the Western Land of the Edeinos, stpping the expansion of the Living Land as it is taking place.
Eddie Paragon gives his life to destroy a Living Land Maelstrom bridge in the western Land. This bridge is the one that supplies troops to the storm front.
Angus Cage and Clemeta try to steal plans from Mobius' workshop.
June 15 -A group of Mystery Men are lured into a trap at an Airbase in the Nile and rescued by a group of Storm Knights.
In the USSR, Nicolai Onderov now heads the Bureau of Psychic Research, under the jurisdiction of the Army now as opposed to the party. Katrina Toverish is the assistant director. Techno-Demons try to kill Katrina, but are stopped by the combined might of the Bureau's students.
Uthorian sends Viking Chieftain Thorfinn Bjanni and his fleet against Earth.
June 16 - Earth becomes gravitationally locked with sun; the Still World begins.
Thratchen begins to gather the Techno-Demons.
June 17 - Tolwyn and company reach Aysle, where they confront Spectral Knights, the reanimated corpses of Ardinay's famed knight protectors.
Mara an Djil confront Malreaux and uthorian in the Dream Time. In the fight, Mara slaps a data plate on Malreaux, giving him visions of Kadandra, leading him and his Device to transform the False Papacy on Earth into the Cyberpapacy.
Ultherion defeated, Ardinay returned to her own body.
Pope Jean Malraux I decended "from Heaven" in a pillar of light. He proclaimed a new age of technology in France, and dubbed himself "the Cyberpope."
Pella Ardinay claims to have been freed from the spirit of Uthorion, and orders a stop to the fighting. Thorfinn Bjanni, a Viking chieftain, refuses, and calls for all those who will not follow Ardinay to follow him.
Month Four (July):
Living Land Gospog fields in Chicago detroyed by Storm Knights after a pitched battle with ravagons.
Cyberpope Jean Malreaux orders the construction of a Space Shuttle launch site northwest of Avignon.
Nile Ambassador Ohan Marruk attempts to win sympathy from the Delphi Council through a staged slaughter of Edeinos.
Nile Empire Major Hopten-Ra leads an expedition into the Land of the Dead and discovers the Land Below. He and his troops are reported missing and presumed dead.
Vampyre Maletretius takes over a cult of demon worshippers, who use their occult rituals to strengthen him.
Legendary Mystery Man, The Whisper, comes out of retirement to battle his Archenemy, Blackpool.

Month Five (August):
Malcolm Kane and Kibos resurface in Singapore, where they attempt to set up a ritual to gate Tharkoldu in from that realm.
Pella Ardinay forms the Army of the Light, under the command of Tolwyn of Tancred.
Dr. Mobius adopts the disguise of Deathhawk and begins a ruthless war against the Cairo underground.

Cairo Overgovernor Wu Han imposes martial law on the city. Deathhawk leads a revolt and forces the troops out of Cairo.
Kane and Kibos appear in Borneo, where they are pursuing a mystical object called "The Black Eye."
Kanawa Corporation invests heavily in the Bank of Hong Kong.
The first Land Below creature appear, emerging from the colorado river.
Modern-day incarnation of the Knights Templar apear in the Cyberpapcy, opposing Malreaux.

The Akashans embark toward earth. It will be two years before they arrive.

Germany revokes the laws forbidding it to possess an Army and begins mobilizing for struggle against the Cyberpapacy.

A Living Land Maelstrom Bridge drops into denver. Seven new stealae are planted, with Western Land now extending as far east as Kansas/Colorado border.

"Miracle of Sacramento" occurs. Storm Knight pull Living Land Stelae around Sacramento, and they are promptly replaced by Nippon stelae. Nippon Maelstrom bridge drops, making the area a pure zone. Delphi council announces the area has been reclaimed.
