St. Lawrence

St. Lawrence is the queen of the League of Planets, and knows it. St. Lawrence has the highest technological level in the league, the lowest population, and the highest per capita income. St. Lawrence has heavy industry, but it has been mostly autmated and rendered ecologically stable. Its cities are open and spacious, but due to advance materials technology, large single structures that do not clutter up its natural beauty. St. Lawrence has the only other ship yards in the league besides those at Glisten, and the ship yards here build better craft (and at larger prices!). St. Lawrence was chosen to be the League capitol because of its high technology levels, and has taken this to the limit, building a largely service based economy. In additon, the Space Defence Forces (SDF) headquarters are on St. Lawrence, despite the active duty ships using Glisten as their home port. With the League considering new locations for the SDF acadamy and St. Lawrences spirited bid, tensions between Glisten and St. Lawrence are increasing daily. Given the power of the two worlds, this does not bode well for the League of Planets future.
