Coroth is situated on the western coast of Seriathior, south of Seasfar and the Cities of the Edge. Coroth was once the Proudest and strongest of the Shattered Kingdoms, and it has fallen the farthest of them all. Physically, Coroth contains mostly clearly lands, with light forests and rought terrain closer to the desertsmouth mountains. The population of Coroth is on the decline and Humanoids and Monsters are appearing with increasing frequency.
Coroth has few large towns left, and has returned to its rural habits. Most of the Nobility died with Merieth, and so they have little reason to deal with each other. If not for the merchants who travel through Coroth to avoid the plains dwellers, most of the land would have been cut off from outside contact long ago.
Coroth's fall can be tracked back to the reign of Merith the Despot, 150 years ago. Mereith attempted to "restore order" over the Shattered Lands by force, sending forth a large and deadly army. Eventually, forces from the Shattered Kingdoms, the Edge Cities, Sweetsprings and Erathior swept through and destroyed King, Capitol, and Country. The Few nobles who survived spent more time quarreling than anything else and so were unable to reunite. When Nistar Biblade created his Empire of Seasfar, he had little trouble conquerering what remained. The fall of Nistar took out the remaining nobles of Coroth with ambitions and since then, Coroth has continued as it is. Slowly sinking back into obscurity.
