| How do I get to the resort? The island is less than 8 miles (12 kilometers) from Cancun. There are different passenger ferries and one car ferry (but you won't need a car!?). The public ferries are cheapest and only cost a few dollars. ( I think we paid 3 or 4 dollars last time.) Also, you can arrange pick-up at the airport though the resort's guest services department. Call them and identify yourself as a guest of a club member. Question: Is there a balcony? Yes, there is a private balcony off the main living/dining area. It is accessed through sliding glass doors and includes a hot tub and lounge chairs or hammock. Question: How big is the island? How do you get around? The island is about 6 miles long and averages less than a mile wide. Most tourists get around the island by renting a golf cart or hiring a taxi. Some rent motorbikes. No. The kitchen facilities include full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes and utensils, blender, toaster, etc. but not an oven or stove. Question: Is this unit in the Villa section or the Tower? This unit is a "Jacuzzi Suite" and all of these are the end suites in the Tower (the sloped end). Question: Is there a balcony? Is it private? Yes, there is a full width private balcony which includes a jacuzzi plus lounge chairs or a double hammock. Queston: What floor is the unit on? You will be assigned one of the 6 units when you check in. One is on each of the upper floors. They all have views of the water. Question: This looks like an all-inclusive resort. Are you selling it as an all-inclusive? No. We are selling it without the 'all-inclusive' option that the hotel seems to insist on for hotel guests. But you can sign up for the all-inclusive plan at the front desk when you check in. It will cost extra. The price was nearly $50/person/day in 2004. Question: What weeks are available? We own 'floating weeks'. They must be fixed before we sell them to you and if you want a particular week, you should give us lots of lead time (at least 3 months for the busy season). Given sufficient lead time, we can book any week except the following 5 weeks: Christmas, New Years, Easter, 4th of July and Thanksgiving (USA). Question: What are check-in and check-out days and times? Check in is 3pm Saturday and check out is 10am the next Saturday. Question: I am arriving Sunday and departing Sunday. Can the dates be changed? No. You will need to make other arrangements for nights outside of the standard Saturday to Saturday week. There are lots of hotels in Cancun or choose the hotel section of this resort if you like. |
