| FINALLY!!! Finally a club worth supporting. Last year it was a video game club, but due to school rules all videogames are technically banned. So that didn't work out too well. Hopefully this time the club will be successful. Sorrowful though Rochester has a stunted community at the anime videogame level. Mostly rednecks and preps around these parts. I think there were eight people at the first meeting, although I was only there just long enough to get elected as the Treasurer. I kind of established myself as the web host and subliminally the events coordinator. This seems like a great opportunity to have fun and learn new things. I'll begin giving short Japanese lessons at the beginning of all the meetings. This club could be a toss up between my old Squire guitar and my sparse anime collection. Not that a collection really. The only thing I have are a few features recorded off of Cinimax, a bunch of Pokemon tapes(from the dollar store!!!), and a few other things. As I sit here writing this, watching Boogie Pop Phantom and sniffing my cold back into my head I wonder what is it going to take to keep this thing rolling. Dedication from others and some ways to receive outside funding. I don't think people will pay a whole lot when they drive into a carwash at Larry's Chevron and find out that it's for the Anime Club, but you never know. Once I pay off all the money I owe, I intend to invest into my own anime collection for real, maybe that'd help. Any way, until next time... Treasurer, Webmaster, Reporter, -Ryan Dailey |
