Velvet

I sit in the warm silence of my room,
Feel the velvet floor against me as I stretch out...
Imagine you with me.
I can feel your warmth against my chest as you curl up a little closer.
You smell so good it's hard to bear.
Hard not to hold you a little closer,
Hard not to kiss you.
I wrap my shirt around us both,
You cuddle into my bare chest...
hair tickling my ear,
face in my neck.
It just all feels so right.
The light from my candles flickers on you...
I've never been so overwhelmed by beauty before.
My breath catches in my throat as I look you over.
You sense something and look up.
Somehow....
Maybe it was deliberate...
somehow our lips meet.
Our tongues begin to explore and my stomach lurches,
But in a good way.
I miss you.
