To walk by you
Watch you wonder if it was really me
Who's shadow caught on your bedroom wall
This would be my wish for today
I'd watch you from the other side
As you hold my photograph
Gripping it tightly
Tears caressing your delicate skin
My heart leaps when you rise
From your whirlwind of sadness
Picking up the precious piece of my heart
You begin to play
I see the pain fall from your eyes
As you engage the sorrow of my words
Your fingers glide gracefully
Surpassing any melody I made before
Hours later you fall asleep
I hear you whisper my name
My eyes glisten with hope and love
As my spirit entwines with yours...
These days that pass by
Are just too hard on us
But one day we will be together again
Just you and I, and the night's sky
