Nissan Sentra SE-R

That, what you see above,is the 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R. Standard is 170 hp and 165 torque, great interior, great looks, all for around $17,000. However, the Spec-V version will be equipped with a 180 hp engine with 185 torque. Not bad for a 4 cylinder.

The earlier Sentra SE-R is a pretty capable car in the hands of tuners. With it's potent SR20DE engine, light weight and fantastic suspension, it is a very capable car. The SR20DE puts out 150 hp at the crank and about 130 at the wheels. You may be seeing this isn't much, but, recently, a very popular magazine did a little suspension upgrades, about $3,000 dollars worth to the SE-R. The SE-R proceeded to beat a few BMW M-3's at the track. In case you don't know, the M3 has about 350 hp. Not bad, if I say so myself.

This car can be anything from a drag car, to a track car, to just about whatever you need. I have seen these cars with a few bolt on's and a 50 shot of NOS run low 13 second quarter miles. Faster than a Chevrolet Camaro Z28. About a second faster. And much, much less money. For low buck high performance, this car is tops.
