#CR'sbar as Delphins
Can You Guess Who's Who?
#CR'sbar as Delphins provides a truly unique snapshot of the #CR'sbar community. A 'delphin' is a half-horse, half-human hybrid, and the combination of horse and human features results in an interesting visual style for Delphin art. Resident #CR'sbar artist giggles undertook the challenge of drawing a number of our chatters in Delphin form. To do so, giggles first needed to collect four items of information about each chatter that wished to participate: their hair colour, eye colour, favourite colour, and an embedded clue which defined them in some way to the room at large. With the presence of these four characteristics, each Delphin drawing allows the personality of the individual chatter to shine through.
At the July 2001 #CR'sbar reunion, giggles' #CR'sbar as Delphins image was finally unveiled. It was an impressive and inventive depiction of our chatroom, containing 17 well-known #CR'sbar chatters and even the famous #CR'sbar pool. Once the image had been revealed, a 'Guess The Chatter' competition was held amongst the reunion guests, with a prize offered to the first person who could correctly identify all 17 of the #CR'sbar chatters contained within...
StoneCold eventually surfaced as the winner of the competition, even though he had not been featured in the actual image. MissQ and Selena finished second and third respectively. The prize ultimately received by StoneCold was a special portrait drawn by giggles. As requested, the picture shows StoneCold donned in Warhammer-style armour.
Although the #CR'sbar as Delphins image has been featured on this website since 2001, the actual answers to the 'Guess the Chatter' competition have never been available. With the help of giggles, however, the identities of the chatters who took part are now listed at the bottom of this page. In addition, every original Delphin drawing has been uploaded, and as such, it is now possible to view all of the individual Delphins before the pictures were merged to form the finished product:
