| Brought together by a chance encounter. Robin heard an explosion on his way out one one evening. Quickly he ducked aside, changed into his gear and sprung into action as the masked archer Jade. At the same time also close to the action, a young redhead was spying up robbing some elderly patrons of a jewlery shop nearby. As she left the coffee shop she was at after some commotion, she heard the explosion and was introduced to Jade rather uncerimoniously in a dark sewer. He had met up with Static and they were what appeared to be in pursuit of some strange Men in Black. As this was all happening, Megabomb, another "hero" was flying through the skies of Paragon, looking for something to happen, after the apparent "BOOM" he dropped down to see what was happening, seeing some characters hop into the sewer, he chose to make chase. In a flash he swooped down into the sewer and met up with the 3 costumed pursuers. After "pleasantries" were exchanged, he joined up with them on their "chase". What they didn't know was that this sewer was under the watchful eyes of Defiance. He stopped the 4 as they came running by. Offered them an option of leaving or coming with him, as the scene needed immediate intervention, the 4 chose to join up with the mysterious Defiance. As they moved down the sewer, they came face to face with what apperaed to be a 50 foot crocodile. The beast snarled and spit, but what no match for Defiance's full power blast, but he did not appear to have many of those in him, so what if there were more of these things. They kept going and as expected, ran into 5 more of those monsters and a dead end. After Static managed to stun them, a rumbling was heard, and a large man with blue hair blasted through the wall. This was Aleron, after the crocs were handled they followed into what appered to be a sterile room. MIB's began flooding into the room, the fight went on for a great deal of time, the MIB's stood little chance against the 5 heroes. All of the sudden one called for something called, Project 219. 219 reared its ugly face. The 5 tried as they might, but couldn't dent he monstrosity. It whispered something telepathically in Defiance's head, triggering him off. He screamed for everyone to leave. once they streamed out of the "clean" room, Defiance and 219 had what appeared to be the banter of 2 people that knew each other, in one final move, Defiance screamed and let loose an enormous blast of energy and blasted 219 into a dimensional rift. The explosion rocked the whole sewer and while they were tryin to escape, a shard tore open Jade's stomach. In an effort to save him, Cliona layed her hands upon him and managed to heal the would, and knock herself out doing it. Out of the rubble, reches a hand, it's Defiance, he lived through the blast. Aleron helped him out of the hole, as the others talk of froming a team of sorts. Cliona, after slapping Jade for kissing her, turns and walks, not knowing what she will do, but knowing this is too big for her to deal with now. Jade tried to make chase, but just could not keep up, she is gone, but will return. On the way from the incedent a remark of what they should call themselves is made.....The Outsiders are born! |
