One more may soon become a member. Tim from Formlessvoid, who played with defaced in December is likely to become the sixth member and the third guitarist.
Today defaced has announced that they are no more. Rumors with in the band and with in close friends of the band have been flying around, but nothing has been set straight. Due to personal problems Nick has been asked to be dismembered from the band. Now with only two of the four original members being in the band, the remaining members are now looking for a new name as long with a front man. Until a front man has been found, Brian will replace Nick as the vocalist. Anybody wishing to audition is welcomed to. Preferably somebody with expierence, and able to play an insturment, but all is welcome to audition. Please sign my guestbook upon what you think of the decision.
Okay, slap me and slap me hard. I moved to Clinton and had like no time to work on the page. I just now have access to a scanner and a digital camera again. Sorry for the long time with no changes, but it's getting there. Defaced has played a few shows, and so has Perish. Believe it or not guys, none were with each other. Perish played in Burlington, IA twice and Defaced has continued to play in Muscatine. Perish just got a new 16 digital track. So you know what that means right? It means cd's COMING SOON! Perish is working on their latest one, Defaced has a split with Annee Mu and 6DOUBLEFIVE321 is coming out with a few songs soon. So don't be expecting these bands to play a few, if any shows at all coming soon. Maybe some summer shows, but most of the work of all the bands are going to be working hard on their new cd's.
Did everyone like April Metal's Day? Yes, no? Well you should. And I have an idea to make it a bit better. How about in July or August, we can get another concert up, but with two stages. I place outside around here big enough. So we can have two bands play at once or at least not have any wasted set up time. A lot of people left the Eagles before Perish As Fools played. Why? Too long? Other things to do? Well, this whole idea of like a "Fuckfest" just came out of my ass. I want all bands to play. Defaced, Perish, Sprunt, HateDaisies, Annee Mu, Rive, 6doublefive321, and bands who never get to play much. Bands that kick ass damn it. If we could get something this big and pull it off. I think it will bring eastern Iowa closer together and get some attention goddamn it. That way, so of the fucking bands can make it out of here and bring out more bands from here. You guys hear me?! We need this to get noticed by all the big fucks in Chicago, St. Louis and so on. We need bigger bands and bigger record companies to hear our shit. Now, is anyone with me on this????
April Metal's Day was a huge success. About 150 people came to see the best 5 bands around. All the bands were great. 6DOUBLEFIVE321 opened the night off. It was amazing performance, with a lot of new talent coming about. Next was Annee Mu, that was an intense show, they were great and everyone should check them out if you missed them. Defaced was an explosive show, ceiling tiles were broken and some things got out of hand, but it was awsome. Rive ripped shit up and were crazy, the moshpit was insane. Then the headliners came up. Perish As Fools, this is the best band to come around locally. I don't care who says what, PCU, Hate Daisies, Septic. Perish As Fools just ripps every band that has ever came around here apart. They sold all their 7 song cd demos they had Saturday. And being newly signed by Redwood Record, INC in California. So Perish should be getting a big push coming up soon. April Metal's Day was great and look out for next year. More bands and more people. I would like to thank Defaced and Perish for help setting this show up. Watch out for Defaced and Annee Mu's split cd coming this summer.
It's confirmed that Defaced will do a split with Annee Mu. But more bands might be added. 4 bands on one tape. So far Defaced, Annee Mu and Perish As Fools are added to the split. One more banded is needed and I hope it'll be either Relapse or 6Doublefive321. If you feel another band should be on the Fourgasm CD, then sign it on the guestbook and vote who you would like to see fill up the empty slot.
Just yesterday there was a show in Clinton, IA that tore shit up. Starting off the show was the first ever show of Relapse. Another band with their first ever show was 6DOUBLE5321, made of "The Baby Barrs", Nicole and Michelle, Zach, and Perish's drummer, Eric. Both these bands have potential to make it some where and hope to see them again soon. Defaced pulled off a great show, one the best in a long time. Nick broke the mic one of the songs, so we had a two minute bad ass instrumental. Once again Ladies and Gentlemen. Perish As Fools went ape shit and got the crowd going. I really loved this show a lot.
Another show in Moline, IL was played this past weekend. Another kick ass show. This was the most physical show of defaced to date. During their fourth song, "Inside My Own", while going Ape Shit on stage like usual. Matt accidently hit Nick with the head of his bass. Nick split his lip and needed seven stitches. Don't be surprised if a broken bone comes up sometime soon. So far in a defaced show we had an almost broken neck. Which was at a Boat House show and the reason why no more shows a longer able to be there. Thousands of bruises, cuts, scraps and scars. Now stitches.
This past Saturday Defaced had a show in Moline, IL at The Corner Loft. They were not notified untill 2:00pm that day that they were going to play. If they had further noticed, they would have been a word or flyers going around. They have a show this Saturday on the 12th at The Coner Loft again.
Okay, I just spent last weekend in Eric's garage during Defaced's practice. All I have to say is "OHMIGOD", with the amazing talent of both Dan and Brian, which has played guitar longer than any of the other members have been alive. They are going to kick some ass. Just give Dan a few more practices and he is set, he's fitting in really well and adding great guitar riff's to the songs.
Defaced's show this past Saturday tore shit up. Defaced really wants to thank everyone so much for coming due to the harsh weather. They really apprieciate it.
Dan is now formally a defaced member. With only three practices behind him with defaced, he played like he was them them the whole time. Regarding Tim, Defaced would like to thank him for trying out and to have him join, but they don't want to add too many members to quickly.

Defaced has a new guitarist. Dan Bootse is inserted into the line up to be the fifth band member. One of Brian's best friend's since childhood joins with him in defaced.
