| CHAPTER 26 |
| Dillan woke up to an empty bed. She sat up and pushed Revvy off her feet. She slid the blankets off and headed downstairs, not before kissing a picture of AJ and herself. As she entered the kitchen she was greeted by Grace at the table. "Morning, ladies," Dillan said as she sat down. They all smiled and chowed back down on their breakfast. Leighanne was cooking, Kristin was reading the paper, while Grace, Josie, and Natalie were eating and talking about today's event. "Are you nervous, Dill," Leighanne asked as she cracked another egg. "No, not too much. Just excited really." Within 3 hours, all the girls were in their gowns and headed to the private beach that Nick owned. Dillan stepped out of the limo and onto the sand. She wasn't wearing any shoes so her dress made a trail in the sand. The sand between her toes made her think of the first night AJ and her were together; he took her to the beach. After everyone had left his house, he took her on the 30 minute drive in his convertible mustang. They walked and talked for hours, both mesmorized by the night's sky. Dillan remembered he said the moon was her's. No matter where he was (on tour somewhere around the world) the moon would be there for her and would keep her company while he was gone. Dillan followed her friends into a big tent where all her family and the minister were waiting. He ran through the ceremony once more with Dillan and the girls. He left the tent but not before telling everyone to get into their places. As Grace handed Dillan her daisies, she remembered that AJ grew these for her in their backyard. He had given her a small pot of daisies before he had gone on one of BSB's weekend-long promo tours. She had it on her windowsil until it grew too big for the pot. AJ turned into a gardener and the plant survived from the love and care he put into it each day. Dillan heard music start and the girls began to step out of the tent: Natalie, then Josie, then Grace, and finally Dillan stepped out into the sunshine. She looked throughout the crowd, and saw all the family and friends she had invited. Most of the Hallmark crew was there. She looked at the band and smiled at the sight of the Backstreet Band. She saw more faces she had met while she was with AJ. She looked straight ahead to where the minister, her brides maids, and 5 men in tuxedos. Brian, making funny faces to get a laugh, Nick, smiling as big as ever, Kevin, looks on with pride, and Howie, winks with encouragement. The last man who was under half the arch covered in flowers was AJ, who gazed up and down his bride-to-be in shock of her beauty. ~*~*~*~ "By the state of Florida, and the power of God, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride." AJ turns to Dillan and cocks his head back to his Boys. He moved his eyebrows up and down and smiled devilishly. He laughed and pulled Dillan into a deep kiss. "Mr. and Mrs. McLean!" The reception imediately followed the ceremony on the beach. Brian took the microphone in his hands and stood on a chair. "Excuse me!" He cleared his throat. "I just wanted to say something before you two have your first dance. AJ, she's offically yours so lets have a good tour next month!" Everyone laughed as AJ got a little embarrassed. "But for real. I'm happy you guys are finally together. Its really meant to be. So now its time for your first dance as a married couple. The band was going to play your song but the guys and I had an idea. We made some calls and well here. Jason! Hey guys, come out now!" Jason and the other members of Lifehouse took places at the instraments. Dillan almost began to cry. AJ kissed her cheek and pulled her closer to his side. "Congrats AJ and Dillan," Jason said adjusting his guitar. "I heard the story for 'Breathing' becoming your song. That's pretty intense. So we thought that we'd rather play it than have your band tear it up. Just kidding guys." AJ put his arms around Dillan's waist as the music began to play. "You look so beautiful." "Thanks. You look the part yourself." She pulled him closer. "I never thought we'd see this day after last year." He tucked his head down in her neck to mimic her body. "This is my dream come true baby. Its only going to get better, I promise." He closed his eyes and started to sing the rest of the song along with Jason. "'Cuz I am hanging on every word you're saying. Even if you don't want to speak tonight thats alright, alright with me. 'Cuz I want nothing more than to sit outside your door and listen to you breathing is where I want to be. Yea, where I want to be." ~*The End*~ Featured Stories Main Page |
