| I oversee a breeding program here at my farm. We are always crossing two chickens to get a strain that we want. Therefore, we are often stuck with chickens that are mixed bred, but absolutely beautiful. I will sell eggs and chicks from these "mixed bred" chickens for a reduced price because of the fact that they aren't full blooded. But, I can gaurantee that these birds have good looks and often posses good quailties such as an excellent egg production, or broodiness, or excellent meat production.
