Episode 4

Sakura's Exhausting Sunday

Sakura wakes up in the morning feeling all fresh and happy. She gets dressed and goes downstairs to have breakfast with her family. Her father sees happiness in her face and asks why she is so happy. Sakura says she is going to have a picnic with Tomoyo. Fujutaka's face suddenly changes and comes Touya carrying the notice board. He points out to Sakura that this Sunday is her turn to do the house-cleaning. Then Sakura remembers she has changed her schedule with Touya some days ago because she wanted to see Rika's piano recital. Sakura is very disappointed at this, but promise is a promise. Fujitaka asks if he can help a bit before he leaves, but Sakura says to leave everything to her. So, her father and brother leave the house, leaving Sakura alone.

Sakura calls Tomoyo to apologize and Tomoyo says good luck with her job. Although when she was on the phone Tomoyo sounded cheerful, after she closes the phone she is a bit disappointed. Sakura is also worried she has made Tomoyo disappointed so she says to herself she will make a letter to Tomoyo to apologize. Next, Sakura asks for Kero's help to do the clothe-washing. Although at first Kero doesn't want to help, he hears Sakura saying the two of them will rest after the work, so he is finally willing to help Sakura. While she is cleaning the carpet, Sakura finds a Clow Card, the Wood Card. Sakura immediately calls for Kero. Kero was checking the washing machine when Sakura called him. So Kero is very surprised and he slips from the machine's side and falls into the machine. When Sakura comes to Kero's place, she doesn't find him, so she goes back and puts the Card into her pocket. Kero comes out of the machine looking all shining and clean.

The last place to clean is the basement library. Again, in this place Sakura finds a Clow Card but it is stained with ink so she doesn't know its name. Sakura says how lucky she is today and puts the 2 Cards on the table. The phone rings, so Sakura goes upstair to get it. It is her father asking her to deliver his proposal to him to the bus-stop. After saying her permission to Kero, Sakura leaves. Meanwhile at the basement, the sunlight comes into the room and it magically removes the ink from the stained Card.

Sakura has given the proposal to his father and comes Yukito. He is on the way back from school after helping for a competition. Then, Yukito invites Sakura for lunch at a restaurant where Touya is having his part-time job. Sakura goes home feeling all happy. When she enters the house, she finds everything is clean and neat. She goes to her room to find Kero already in a deep sleep. Sakura thanks Kero for his help. Suddenly, a noise comes from the basement, so Sakura wakes Kero up. The two arrive in front of the basement door. The door is opened from behind the door and comes out twig. Quickly Sakura closes the door. Kero picks up the twig wondering how can a tree's part being inside this house. Now, more twigs and branches come out. They strangle Sakura around the foot and Kero around his waist. While they are in danger situation, the door bell rings.

Stupid enough, Sakura answers the bell which she quickly regrets because the stranger could know what they are up to with the tree inside the house. The stranger opens the door, and it turns out to be Tomoyo. She quickly helps Sakura and Kero. After she is free, Sakura can seal the Wood Card. The tree draws back to the basement, but it comes out again, making Sakura and friends have to go upstair to avoid being stabbed by it. When they have reached place where Kero has hanged the wet clothes, suddenly the tree stops after them and grows its leaves. But the tree keeps growing so Sakura must hurry to seal it or else has her house destroyed.

Tomoyo has given Sakura a new costume saying she actually planned the costume to be worn on their picnic. They go down to the basement, slowly and carefully, to avoid the branches. When they arrive, Sakura's foot falls on water. Kero says the Wood Card doesn't produce water. Sakura remembers, then, that she also found another Card. Kero tells her she can't leave a Clow Card without writing her name. This is a lesson for Sakura. Sakura goes further, and when she turns a corner, she finds the source of the water. It is the Rain Card. It plays Sakura on, giving her water and more water. Sakura uses the Water Card. It creates a bubble covering the Rain so it can no longer escape. Sakura can now seal it.

Now the busiest part of this day : they have to once more do the house-cleaning. But thanks to Tomoyo, she will help them out. Fujitaka and Touya come home. They come to Sakura's room and find her sleeping. Fujitaka whispers thank you. He has cookies as present for his children. Touya tells his father to write Sakura's name or else he might eat the cookies. Still sleping, Sakura mumbles that she has written her name (on the Card).
