Secondly, we must be obedient and heed the voice of God whenever He speaks to us. It is very important to do what He tells us to, when He tells us to. By that I mean: Do we stop and pray whenever we feel the urgency to do so? Or, do we go on about our daily business intending to do it later, even though we feel the Lord compelling us to pray right away? When we allow this to happen, many times "later" never comes and we have lost a wonderful opportunity to do something good.
Many say God does not perform miracles like He used to, but ask yourself this: How many more miracles would we see, if we would pray whenever the Lord laid it upon our hearts, without hesitation or question?
We may not always understand what the urgency to pray is about, or see the results of those prayers, but God has a purpose for all things. If we listen to His voice when He calls upon us to minister in prayer, miracles will happen.
To a land across the seas.
I didn't go by ship or plane
I traveled on my knees.
I saw so many people there
In bondage to their sin,
And Jesus told me I should go,
That there were souls to win.
But I said "Jesus I can't go
To lands across the seas."
He answered quickly, "Yes you can
By traveling on your knees."
He said "You pray, I'll meet the need.
You call and I will hear.
It's up to you to be concerned
For lost souls far and near."
And so I did; knelt in prayer,
Gave up some hours of ease,
And with the Savior by my side,
I traveled on my knees.
As I prayed on, I saw souls saved
And twisted persons healed,
I saw God's worker's strength renewed
While laboring in the field.
I said, "Yes Lord, I'll take the job.
Your heart I want to please.
I'll heed Your call and swiftly go
By traveling on my knees."
So I decided to create a special place to put them. Most of these stories I received through my e-mail and as far as I know they are all true.
