We had many folks who had never attended before. It was nice to have the exchange students from Russia with us. I believe that is the first time that we have had visitors from out of the United States. Ronnie Hahn and Herb LaPlatt joined us for the first time and provided us with some good music. It was good to see everyone there and to have such a nice turnout.


The ribbon has been tied on the 2008 Deerfield Valley Pick-In season. It is hard to believe that this was our sixth year. We would like to thank everyone who has participated in any way. A special thanks to the Deerfield Ruritan Club for allowing us to use the community center building. We also want to thank the devoted musicians who faithfully come whenever possible, the providers of refreshments, the "roadies", and the fans. Without every ones help the Pick-In would not have lasted all of these years. The Good Lord willing, we will be starting our seventh season in mid or late March 2009.
