Deer Bush Dog Training Club Inc has been in operation for over 30 years. It is a non profit organisation run by a dedicted committee and a team of instructors who work together on a voluntary basis to serve and educate the local dog community in their responsibility of owning and training a dog.
The Club offers classes in Obedience on Tuesday nights, Agility on Wednesday nights and Flyball on Thursday nights. In the event of rain training on any night is cancelled. Club membership is the only pre requisite for attending on any night.
The aim of the club is three fold:
* we aim to promote responsible dog ownership and develop this through our classes in obedience from introductory to trialling. The major emphasis in these classes is the use of positive reinforcement methods.
* we aim to provide many positive and fun experiences and opportunities for dog socialisation in a non-threatening environment
* we aim to make training a fun and rewarding experience for both the handler and their dog. |
